Hi Andrew, We are using Power Apps more and more because it is so easy to learn. I think it's how fast people can pick it up. That's the main reason our company is moving to Low Code/No Code Dev.

the 20$/user premium license that EVERY users need to have to use the apps, as soon as it communicates with a DB or any API outside 365, just kills me. 10k-30k users? no chance..

Totally agree, even 5k users is ridiculous! Then they want more with copilot.. viva.. and more and more and more!!! haha.. That's why when people say they hate my workarounds I don't care I'm saving companies money! 😀 (sorry Microsoft)

Great video and very true. In your unique position of being a developer with both high and low code solutions, are you seeing any ‘friction’ from the high code developer community? Personally, I’m about 18months into my citizen dev journey and I’ve come across ‘resistance’ and even ignorance from high code developers to the solutions that Power platform can deliver in my organisation. When I speak to some of them, they don’t realise what power platform can actually deliver.

Yes, you are right I have seen resistance with a few prominent "high" code developers. IMO, I think they are afraid of change like many people are. Low Code/No Code is another tool in the toolbet in software dev. It 100% has it's use cases and it may be a direct competitor with them. Some applications are great in .NET some a great in Power Apps. Having both should be no problem.

Shadow IT is a reality when talking about any low/no code tool and PMI and others already have methodologies on how to manage these tools and integrate the citizen developer into the organization in a secure way.

Great video. Citizen developer here, about to roll out a Dataverse Power App to approx 500 users. We have been very dissappointed with the speed of deletes and appends to the dataverse from the client app. And are challenged with delegation limits. Wish we could move / delegate this code to the "server". Any insights here?

There are some options and it depends, there are ways around delegation. Loading some into collections based on filters. Also maybe your app should of been a model-driven app?
