Why you should try a No Spend Challenge

For the month of January, I'm not buying any new clothes, shoes, makeup, home decor or skincare. This is in an effort to just get more use out of what I already have, and give those purchases the use I said I would give them when I bought them in the first place.
It's SO easy to get caught up in all the wanting, that we quickly forget about our HAVING. As in, being grateful and feeling settled and content with those things.
Would you try a No Buy Challenge?

I was just looking through my makeup drawer, I don't have a lot of product but what I do have is more than enough... I need to finish what I have before buying more. Such a good reminder.. use what you have as opposed to stockpiling and having an overabundance of half used or unused products.

I love the concept. I will try soon! But I only started building my wardrobe for my current style 3 months ago. Finally getting some basics at age 44! 😄 My wardrobe has always been jeans and multi color shirts and dresses lol but every month I give away clothes. Slow n steady wins the race 🎉😅

Tip to get even more out of creams - cut it in the middle and use the top section as a ‘lid’ so you can keep ‘opening’ it and get all the leftover bits that can’t be squeezed out!

Such a great post. Thank you! You can only wear one outfit at a time. If we really stop and think, we don’t need half the stuff we buy. It’s usually filling an impulse mood or a feeling we need to explore. I’m good with all I have. My spending has increased so much !!! 👍💕💕

I’m trying to do the same thing and the hardest to say no to is makeup and skincare items. I started doing the project pan to get me motivated to use what I have and I really hope it works I’m only on day 5.

I'm being forced to do a no spend because funds are low, using toiletries up and when it's time for replacement noticing I have other things that do the same job, but I easily bought another when funds weren't low because I wasn't 100% satisfied. Or asking myself is it an essential because I've got to watch my money and noticing a bunch of stuff in my routines and life are... Unnecessary.

I recently joined the gym and needed some "active wear" so I bought 2 pairs of leggings, 2 sports bras and a pull over hoodie. My intentions are good... but that being said, I also have a problem with shopping and impulse buying. For me, I think it's an unhealthy attempt at self soothing.

Totaaaally! That’s where the spending time with the things you already have comes in. It helps take the focus off of what we can vs cannot buy ❤️❤️ decluttering, shopping your closet and makeup stash helps a lot!

Most people already do this for a living. I bought myself the first thing in months today which was basic underwear which was because I needed it and it was half price.
