Plastic Man is actually one of the most powerful heroes in the DC multiverse. And just like any other character like him, he is VERY underrated. Although the reason why Plastic Man is so underrated can be also attributed to the fact he is considered a funny or comedic character; his comic debut was, fittingly enough, in Police Comics #1, the very first superhero comic book in history to incorporate humor to its main plot. So because of this, Plastic Man is usually seen by writers as a joke only to be used for ridiculous or hilarious stories, which is very unfair.

It’s the thing that made me hate the Batman who laughs on first sight. The rest of the league I could sort of believe but him killing plasticman was just narrative cheating.
@Crabgar8 ай бұрын
When he was shattered for 3000 years, the JL simply gathered all of his particles and put them back together. This is where Batman said that, Plastic Man is hiding an insane level of power and generally, he was completely fine, since being crazy got boring after 1000 years. He's incredibly inconsistent overall, sometimes he can tear or be ripped apart, sometimes just hitting him works. Sometimes he can fight fire monsters, sometimes he melts. I like to think he can stop himself from melting when he focuses hard enough. I love Plas and the idea he's incredibly powerful, but because he's indestructible and goofy he just messes around with everyone. He still wouldn't beat Superman, because it's like a B or C list character against the focal point of the DC universe, but he'd probably have the best shot at actually being a threat to him (minus frost breath lol).

Now that I think of it, he's basically Sandman with rubber. I wonder who'd win between the two

I'd say Plasticman purely because he has more options in a fight. Sandman can make himself more dense, but he's ultimately still a solid mass of sand. Plasticman can become a pure liquid if he wants, so he has way more shapeshifting options in a fight

Sandman might be able to win since he's connected to the Hyperflow and was able to one shot multiple hosts of Celestials and beat a Power Cosmic enhanced Doom. He has complete control over his molecular structure, down to the individual molecule. He is actually immune to intense heat and cold, or at least insanely resistant. But his weakness is, is a little different. Its the drastic change in temp that fucks with him. So rapidly being frozen for example its the rapid speed of the freeze that turns him into a frozen solid state. Eventually, his molecules will adjust to the new phase state and he will be able to thaw and move around normally. So sure if you dropped him into Antarctica he would freeze maybe for a day or two but eventually his body would adjust and he would be fine and move normally. Same with if you dropped him into a volcano, he would melt down for sure but eventually he would adjust and reform.

Man that's a fairly different origin story than I remember for Plastic Man. The one I remember was after his heist gone wrong, Plastic Man wakes up in a monastery called "Rest Haven" (which Plastic Man mishears at first, giving us the lovely line of "Heaven? The coldest day for the place *I'm* going to is 100 degrees!") and is cared for by the monks that live there. Due to the kindness of the Rest Haven monks, Plastic Man resolves to make the most of the second chance he's been given and becomes a super hero. Of course comics being what they are I wouldn't be surprised at all if this was just some other continuity than the one in the video.

@@illseeyaonthedarksideofthemoon Petroleum is one of the most used products in the world. It's in cars, plastics, and many other things. Even if you can only manipulate crude oil derivatives like gasoline and liquid diesel you still have highly flammable and versatile liquid to use.

I remember this guy from TheRussianBadger. He tweeted a picture of his Halloween costume and his M hairline really matched Plastic Man's!

Plastic man in the physical sense is the strongest, but in the injustice universe he’s the guy who basically is a rebuttle for everything superman does, he’s a reformed criminal. A hero who turned his life around showing everyone that second or third chances should be given to criminals.

One of the best things about having rubber powers is that you can shout" GOMU GOMU NOOO.." without sounding like an autistic person

Hey could you make a video about silver surver? He is extremely underrated and need to be seen.

Injustice will forever hold the position of the best Plastic Man moment. When Cyborg tells him the cell door in front of him is impossible to open, he sticks his hand in and unlocks it within seconds, pulls his hand out and sticks up his middle finger in the shape of a key while saying "Look at that! I found the key!"

Your videos are fucking great man. Nice to see someone just honestly share their love for comics. Plas is that fucking guy, they'll never put him in a movie, and if they did they'd fuck it up. That being said I really wish they would have made one with Johnny Knoxville when he was younger.

Plastic Man is one of the few fictional characters where I'm EXTREMELY glad he's on the good side.

If I ever got a superpower I’d want it to be shapeshifting. Whether plastic man-esque or otherwise.

Ya know, Plas is pretty fearless and actually has a ton of willpower and creativity. That scene in Injustice when he had like 40 Green Lantern rings could have gotten a lot more interesting if he decided to use them.
