Man, relationships sure do take a lot of work... You'd think it would be easy. I love you, you love me... let's communicate, work as a team, and respect each other. All of this, "what is he/she thinking" etc etc is crazy. Why are people this difficult? Say what you mean, and quit the games. It's nuts... So much unnecessary torture and drama. I hope my next girlfriend is someone who can communicate and she's not a puzzle.

I relate. My ex and I broke up 9 months ago. It’s been in out. Hot cold. Back forth. On Thursday he was reminiscing like CRAZY! He told me how much he missed me. How hard the breakup has been for him. And then he stopped me as I was getting out of the car to tell me that he loved me and always has. Friday was great, too. Saturday?! Different. He was grumpy and frustrated. And pulled WAY back. In the past 9 months I’d check up on him. But not now. I’m just going to let him pull away. It’s exhausting.

Positive pull back is currently what I’m going through with my wife. Separate 6 months going on 7. I really have changed my life around and at month 5 she mentioned potentially getting back together. I think I heard that and started to get too close to her too fast. I’m continuing to show up for our daughter while giving her space. I’m the mean time I’m still improving myself and renovating my house 🏡 like I’m preparing to receive my family back soon enough.

Good points. Most times we believe that they don't care about talking to us and that's why they are not replying politely but it's because they are hurting and has regrets of the breakup

I have Borderline personality, so relationship for me is very chaotic, but your vids help me a lot to understand what is the healthy way to make connections. I work together with my ex, we still care about each other, but I realize we can be in a close relationship even if it's not an "official" facebook status, and I have to learn a lot of things to make this in the right way.

Ngl I really messed up a while ago when my ex had a positive pushback and then said something mean towards me. I obviously reacted negatively in the moment instead of calmly ignoring or asking what was wrong. This small argument turned into a 2 month NC ooooof.

We always have good interactions and in fact she got upset when I mentioned someone 2 weeks ago but is out partying on her IG (we still follow each other). I actually left her this time due to her poor behavior in February but she’s acting like the dumper!

i’m so done w feeling numb. he’s dumped twice and i know it’s only been 8 days but i don’t want to wait 3 months like i did last time. i struggle a lot w meeting new people because of where i live, it’s isolated and my parents don’t let me go out much, ive been home since last october (that’s when i last saw my ex) except for walks around the block i haven’t been allowed to go anywhere else. and i think i’m just sad cus my parents have forbid me from ever getting married that’s why i worry about not meeting other people cus it’ll only end up in heartbreak

Hi @TimTam, we understand that parents can be protective of us. I am not sure how old you are at this time, but given the global situation as well, it could be another factor why parents become more protective than usual.

I’ve been there 3 months after breakup. Just focus on the things that you wanted long before your ex was in your life. If those things reminds you of your ex, try some new hobbies.

The burden should not be on the individual discarded...if someone breaks up and leaves it demonstrates they're never fully invested in the relationship from the start. IMO these posts empower the dumper while disempowering the person who was discarded. No contact and focusing on yourself is the best course of action anyone can practice when their heart has been broken. Let your ex come forward to you, and if they don't so be it. But at the end of the day at least you preserve your dignity, respect and confidence by letting a person go who most likely never valued you anyway.

My ex got distant after we had the talk about “why”. And I’m confused because it went so well, after I hugged her to say goodbye, she was smiling that I hugged her, I gave her butterflies. She even FaceTimed me to say that she feels some type of way now. (In a good way) then after that, she’s became cold. I wonder if she’s putting her walls up to guard her from letting her feel the feelings for me.

That would only means that the new partner is insecure with you. If that new partner continues his/her insecurity towards you, your ex might just dump the new person.

Hey clay! So my ex and I have been broken up for 4 months. We recently started talking last month and everything was great, she helped me move into my new place and we bonded. I’d say don’t be friends with her.. let her miss u and see if she breaks that off and wants to rekindle with u. Trust me being her friend isn’t a good idea. Iv been there

The only time being a friend is a good idea is if you want to legit be her friend, or you want to do the "being there method" which is a manipulative mind game, and shouldn't have to be used on someone who really loves you anyways.
