Mine popped up with an entire campaign, claiming I'm selfish. When I kept telling him to stop, he hung up and never called back. He was provoking me to break up with him so he can put the break up as my fault.

Mine treated me completely disrespectfully right up to the day he left, but then contacted me 8 minutes later 20 minutes later and first thing the next morning begging to get back together lol

I was with my ex bf for 6 years. I put up with a lot of sh-t. We broke up. Reconnected over the years since. Kept literally stinging me along. Goes out, starts dating someone else. That was too much for me. I told him to go F himself, never want to talk to him again and threw out everything he ever gave me. I was probably overreacting and too harsh, just had enough.

My ex had those brass cats and I haabe that dresser lol. Ironic. You are so right. She didn't respect me that was what it was at a surface level. She wants to get back together but she won't acknowledge it on my terms so it ain't happening, she's not really capable of an adult discussion, that never happened in the whole 8+ years. The few times I tried she spun it. And ya I'm well aware of covert Narcissists and I'm fairly certain that's what I was dealing with. I think I was put into an invisible child role in my mom's side of the family but since I was sort of an only child in my teen years with my dad the dynamic was rarely present in my later and recent life. I also kind of wonder if my mom's narcissism jas only increased since the facebook era and perhaps she was merely sometimes toxic prior to it.
