I think there are 2 sides to the Rajput princes - on the one hadn they were a group of people who retained some martial culture/disciplines. On the other hand they failed to work together to defeat Islamic invaders and furthermore some allied WITH the invaders.

In the 90 s , we also were also taught that these heroes were rebels. They wer heroes cuz they had a spine to defend their motherland. Feedback for you Ranveer : 1. Let your guest/s speak, don't waste the viewers time by interrupting so much. 2. Don't be scared while your guests are instilling awareness in Bharat-ians. Let the viewers draw their own conclusions as to whether they like/dislike what the Islamic & Christian invaders did to Bharatvarsh. It is pretty clear with the current situation in Bharat, the followers of islam are plotting to destroy the Bharat/Hindus again ! So burying your face in the sand while this happens won't help anyone.

Aurangazeb used to refer Shivaji Maharaj as Mountain rat that is the wording , this person twisted the statement atleast thats what I read in school back in 90s , yes lot of whitewashing of history happened because in the dawn of independence india saw lot of communal violence so then rulers thought of downplaying Islamic atrocities so next generations will live in harmony but I feel they should have presented facts as is , vote Bank stmt is absurd till Indira Gandhi era over overwhelming majority of Hindus are with Congress and literally there is no strong opposition , during independence moment INC was referred as hindu party

Haldighati was indecisive even according to contemporary Mughal accounts. He eventually captured all territories apart from Chittor. This he was able to achieve with limited manpower and funds even after his father and uncles lost most of Mewar to Mughals and Gujarat Sulatanate.

I dont know what kind of history they read..... Maharana Pratap as put by Ranveer rightly was anything but downplayed in our history book . Also history is a factual narration and students of 10 th arent doing phd in their subject. We need broader sweep on topics . I hv read about Chola Pallavas pratiharas not in 10 th standard but in lower years. Kitabein padhni nhin hoti h aur aise chomu aa jaate hn sense of false pride instill karke apni kitab bechne. I was educated in CBSE and we NEVER saw Maharana Pratap as a rebel against Akbar. They were just mentioned as kings of different kingdoms who fought against each other. I agree with Ranveer on this. We should just stop politicizing history - this is done a LOT in India and we need to stop. We need to read history for what it is, simple. We don't need to whitewash history and at the same time no need to over-glorify anyone.
