That's not limited to the pastor, that applies to EVERY believer in Christ. The word pastor is synonymous with shepherd. What does a shepherd do? Take care of the sheep and meet their needs. To be a pastor means to take care or oversee the flock of God a.k.a. the Church and meet the needs of its members. 1 Peter 5:2 reiterates what I'm stating.
