Softer wheels like 80-90a are what I find best for rough pavement, wheel size and width doesn't matter as much if youre wheels are too hard to ride over rough pavement of any sort, I had a set of like 52mm 75a bones wheels that I could literally ride down dirt roads

I'm in the extreme minority here, love my 50mm 103a Bones STF skinnies. They're small, light, and don't catch on crusty ledges. I gravitate towards thicker, cup-sole shoes so the rough ride doesn't bother me much, hell, I kinda like the feedback. Also yes, I'm totally a relic of the mid to late 90s'.

I've been riding .. what 53 , 54 for those 4-5 years I was skating between 12-17. I remember using spitfires but, I hated the dirty yellow color of it. And I remember borrowing a deck from a '' Pro '' at a park who had same size wheels as me but had bones, completely white and very slim and I remember it felt so easier to flip the board. Until now at 22 I now know that there's a width to wheels at skateboarding aswell. Picking my skateboard sometime in 2 weeks and going to start skating again after 5 years of nothing again. Great video man.

something i noticed when going back and fort between wide and skinny wheels is that in order to be able to go from 7.5 up to 9 inch boards without having to fight getting back any lock-in and pinch type of trick all i have to do is sacrifice making the board heavier to keep the same grind clearance in my trucks, in other words, big boards use wide wheels and skinny boards use skinny wheels, unless i am feeling like wanting to flip absolutelly every gap, then i put skinny wheels on wide boards to get board stability and the easy flip.

@@jayteecollins1279I ride one board with bones v6 99a in 56mm and one with bones v2 103a 52mm, mostly at home in my concrete miniramp since I live quite rural, the 103a slides out easier than the 99a and if anything they are the ones to have a plastic feel, the 99a is what I prefer, grips when you need to and slides when you want to and feel harder and rolls better yet smoother than cheaper "off brand" 100s and 101a.

Love the tag on the one transition from the first bit. Great to see some good street spots loved the direction of this video well done. My only gripe would be that i would have liked to see you compare the shapes between the brands instead of crossbrand either way it’s always good to get Vancouver skater content. 52mm 101d, Radial slims. Skinny and square. Best of both worlds in flatground and locking in on coping. Don't have to worry about wheelbite with a medium/loose setup.

I’m on conicals from some cheap skinny wheels but I definitely wanna try spitfire or bones skinnies. I’m having a hard time doing flips but I also ride rough ground

I like more of a conical, but I enjoy the spitfire Classic shape too.

If you skate a lot of street do you recommend a wider wheel like a spitfire tablet wheel ?

Skating 54 millimeter Spitfire Tablets right now. I have always been a bines guy but, the Tablets are proving to be a formidable opponent. I like them.
