A very interesting project to watch, especially the on the fly adaptions to the design that you made as you were fabricating it. Showing the test runs helped a lot as well. Adding the little gems of wisdom, for example about the metal bed frame sections, just enhances the whole video enjoyment. I've watched every one of your videos, including when you had your old channel, but have only recently started logging on whilst watching KZfaq, so have finally subscribed! Thank you for taking the time and effort to make and post your videos, and I can't wait to see your next project.

That's good to hear, especially about the bed frames. I never know if people have interest in that, or I'm wasting my breath. Thanks for still watching, even after the "new channel debacle." :)

I happened on to your site a few days ago and have watched all of your Power Grader build. You would not have to change a thing in the way you are doing your filming. I will be looking at the rest of your videos and look forward to seeing more new ones. Very nice job on all. Thanks, Ghil

Ghil Reese Thanks! I appreciate the kind words. I'm working on the edit for a video series now in which I do a line bore on the front axle of a tractor. Hopefully I'll start uploading those in a few days.

craigleemehan Thanks! I was wanting to show the "well that doesn't work" moments during a project and it's good to know you enjoyed it.

Hi Matt, just finished watching the last few segments of the build, great job, and awesome design and running changes! I hope when you sell it, it brings a good amount of money that you can put toward a milling machine. Cool build, and a great video series! Mike

Fine build and project (and it works"). I've enjoyed the whole series and like as I always have, your stick to it, make it work with whach yuh got attitude. You do good work and I can see that it is satisfying to get it outdoors and grade the farm road. Nice work. Will be in looking for the next great. one. ps. I don't mind the long, sequenced movies. You don't need to make a short one for me. Thanks for sharing.

Works pretty good. It was nice seeing you work through the design and issues that arose and the solutions you came up with. Colin ;-)

***** Glad you enjoyed it Colin. It seems so many people cut out all the "well that didn't work" moments, and I think it's an important part of the build.

well done on another big build Matthew , it is hard to condense a 100+ hours of a build into a few videos, or even one! , and not miss out any steps, and tell the story of the build, and crack a joke or two. thanks for letting us into your shop!

skyrocketpuke I hope I didn't have a 100 hours into this! :) I just got done watching your sculpture making, that turned out really neat!

I'm glad I watch all eight parts of this Grader's build. I might now watch the 15 minute edition and see how that looks. But the detail in the build is what kept my attention. I imagine there are as many tips and ideas of how the other KZfaqrs would have done this, but I chose to just 'shut up' and watch you work it through. It's turned out well, but I do have one thing that's buggin' me, and that is, please fix that 'huntin' carburetor on the Cub Cadet. That govenor running erratically is driving me nuts ! Hahahaha. Good job, you have a right now to be proud of a job well done .

+Reg Sparkes Yes that Cub Cadet does hunt, and I've cleaned and adjusted the carb a few times. That engine has done that from day one. I'm beginning to think it has an air leak somewhere. Thanks for watching all the parts! :)

+Wide Vision Metal Fab I guess you've checked to make sure the govenor control arm and rods are not bent , while you're at it, make also sure the rods that control the carb. functions are straight and not obstructed in any way too. Have you used acetylene gas to check for carb. to engine leaks ?
@WideVisionMetalFab
@WideVisionMetalFab 8 жыл бұрын
+Reg Sparkes No I haven't used acetylene to check for leaks. I should do that!

You should figure out a way to put a roller on the winch cable where it goes over the rod on the leveler, and an eye back on the winch frame to attach the end of the cable.

Hi, Great improvements from the original idea... My little boy's envy to drive machinery and playing in the gravel is coming back when I see you drive it around...lol The idea of a short version is interesting for people to evaluate if they like to see more, if you make it short enough, a little like a movie preview, that could inspire people to want more. Maybe put a little suspense at the end... Just an idea though. BTW have you resolved your porosity issue with the Mig welds? Take care, Pierre

pierre beaudry I enjoyed working out the problems and making improvements. Also, the "movie preview" idea is something I'll consider. I'm not sure on porosity, as I haven't tried my hand at spray transfer since. Short circuit doesn't seem to be a problem.

Rich Leviness Thanks! I'm quite pleased with it, and I usually don't like my own builds because there's always something wrong with it.
