Bert is a creative and there is a price for everything, "the price for creativity is that its hard to catalyze identity because you are interested in everything. one of the problems that creative people have is they have a hard time establishing identity and they have a hard time monetizing their creativity, its very difficult to be a creative and make money, you can make money for other people but you're dead by then so its not very helpful to you." -Jordan peterson

Sometimes it's not clean, most times it's not pretty, but at the end you witness the full circle, and can see clearly that you're all on the same page. Family.

I was diagnosed with Aspergers at the age of 25. This includes an irrational craving for validation from people I don't really have a true connection to. Hey Burt, I'm just like you in that I feel things very intensely, I'm empathetic to the people around me and it effects who I am. It's taken me a long time to learn how to use that to my advantage but it also still brings me down at some points too. I've had to learn that reality is the individual brain's perception of what's going on around it, it's ok for other people to think differently than me, and if their opinions are too intense for me it's ok for me to disengage and not continue with the topic of conversation and walk away with my opinion in tact. I love your and LeeAnn's podcasts, thank you for doing them.

It's insane how much Isla looks like LeeAnn but thinks like Berg. When LeAnn asked her what she thought the hardest part of being an adult is and she went into this whole thing about trying to hold down a job and paying bills but being alone at an apartment and having a seizure and nobody coming to help you so you lay there and suffer until you die... That's Bird's child right there!!

I feel like a stalker following all these podcasts of you guys Lee Ann lol.! Our better halves have unique insight on us and its rare to find someone, who's famous, with the humility and trust in his family to let them also engage with your fans and share more of your life. Bert, joe, tom and ari (mostly bert on this one though, just alittle more relatable ig) helped me lose weight and acknowledge my problems with alcohol aided sleep. Anyway just enthusiastic about seeing all of you do well and be happy, thanks for always trying to be genuine bert, leeann thankyou for any "course corrections" you've helped Bert make along the way to help shape who he is now. We arent built for moderation as a species. You have to exercise moderation to be healthy, some people find it easier to do than others. Youre not broken, you just have some work to do, be patient with yourselves. Kids need to be taught moderation and whats healthy, you guys are doing exactly what every other household is supposed to be doing....Including teaching your children how to voice their opinions or qualms intelligently and articulately by including them into the conversation when they are mature enough to learn. The roles are reversed in my family, Im more the practical one, my wife is 100% the opposite (just like bert). It is a legit godsend as we cover each others asses without even knowing we did so. It took me every bit of a decade to realize that and come to terms with it. You have a wonderful family and wish the best to you in 2020 and beyond.

I'd like to see Leanne question her thought process a little more. She enters every argument with almost complete certainty and doesn't contemplate the alternative. For example, Ila getting her learner's permit. It's a once in a life time event. Bert sees the fun side in going around the block, Leanne sees the responsible side. If you're on your death bed, which memory are you more likely to remember? Balance is important, so consider both when making your decision.

Anyone else get the impression, mostly because of the stories Bert and LeAnn tell, that Ila is going to grow up to be one of the best comedians in the world?? The test answers Bert reads on 'Hey Big Boy are among the funniest things I've ever heard in my life! I crack up laughing EVERY time I think about it.

As a young girl I experienced many of the same sensory issues and thought patterns as Ila. At 18 I was diagnosed for aspbergers, Ila reminds me of my young aspie self :)

1:07:00 This reminds me of myself and really caring about what people think, like just wanting to be a face in the crowd and then her sister comes along and shines a big spotlight on her and is essentially like "look over here everyone". Almost like embarrassing or social anxiety if that makes sense
