I'm a huge fan of Arylic as well. They use high quality chips in their devices. And that makes a big difference with the sound quality. Great review!

This is the most cool because of the whole house applications, but I do dig the built in services available via the app.

Only I keep forgetting my passwords so logging in these amps each time I get one is a pain.

Arylic is pretty neat, Nick has covered them in the past, but usually the DIY stuff. I've found the amps with the class D chips can actually get they're expected power (although rating are still usually 10% THD which is very high). Usual power limitations come from the cheap power bricks that come with them. Not typically rated for enough amps, and sometimes the chips are actually capable of 24v but 19v power supplies are supplied instead due to savings.

I might have to try this with a bigger power supply and see what happens!

@@DIYAudioGuy better not. Just had a look through the specs, the amp chip can handle it, but not everything else. Shame really, but it's worth keeping in mind when buying separate amp boards (not arylic)

Yup these are cool I love playing a song in the truck and pulling up to my house and being able to play it in my living room and garage all at the same time same song. And as a fyi you can get there 2.1dyi amp board and it's the same thing that inside this box. There amp boxes are the dyi amps boards in a box so is the 2 non amp models it's a easy 50$ saving if you don't care about the box. You can also update/add to them but there not enough room in the box to add there extra add on. I ask one of the tech in a email and they told me that exactly what they are hopefully I can convince them to build something that actually upgradable with enough room for the add on's they make to upgrade the boards to make a better receiver box Then what they are like all the control buttons 👌👍✌️💯🎶🍻

I'm really curious to see how multiple units perform together. In the past, I've run into processing tolerances that create different delays between multiple units, which is fine when your zones are physically separated, but creates a really awful effect in larger, open spaces.

I will give that a try sometime and see how well it works.

Pretty cool we have the same Sony bookshelf speakers. I use them for listening to music and podcasts while at my workbench. These little Wi-Fi amplifiers seem like a neat solution for easily adding multi-room sound to your home or office space as well. I am curious to know how the Wi-Fi connection is with a music source like a phone. Or is the Wi-Fi part for just connecting them to eachother?
@DIYAudioGuy
@DIYAudioGuy 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, I have had them for many years. They are a solid little speaker. As far as the amp. If you connect via wifi you should be able to play a song on the phone on any device on the network.

Not sure, for what I gather every individual amplifier that you connect to the system can be its own zone.
