This is very nice on you ! It looks like your own hair. I love the length and thickness. So pretty when you pulled some back on each side and clipped. My hair comes out like crazy now at 60 yrs . so I’m looking around. So this is very helpful information.

Thanks to you I finally found a wig that is perfect for me. This is my 8th wig. It's a Jon Renau named Kaley in shaded mocha. Also found my color. Yeaaa. Plus I found it in a close out sale so I got it for a third of the price. I've been listening to everything you been saying. LOVE THIS NEW ONE ON YOU. Hell they all look great on you. Some of us have a three-finger brow, which means wig selection is even harder. My sister usually gets something with extreme bangs to cover where her hairline actually is. Enjoy your high hairline. It's actually an asset !

This is cute. That easy, no fuss cute hair that takes 3hrs to do. I agree with you with the lace on RW. My first wig was an RW & I was trying to figure out how to use my bronzer to hide slightly etc. Thanks for the post. Add to my wish list so I don't forget.

Beautiful. I loved it. I was thinking about getting Seville by Noriko, because the HD fibers make me scared, I have Upstage and top secret in Shaded cappuccino and they are getting kind of dry...I will watch your Seville video again. Thanks for sharing Jill! Coco

The secret to HD fibers is that they REQUIRE HEAT to smooth frizzies. I have a 3 year old HD wig that’s still going strong, because I’ve used a flat iron periodically to smooth it. Gently remove tangles with fingers, then a wide tooth comb. Then take a fine tooth comb in one hand and flat iron in other hand, and slide comb down hair shaft, followed closely by the flat iron, and watch those frizzies melt away, leaving fibers soft and silky once more. Works like a charm! Then you can add curls or waves, remembering that curls must be held or pinned till cool, which locks in curl. There are KZfaq videos on this as well. Don’t be afraid of HD fibers, they’re just a bit different, but I actually prefer them as they’re not so shiny and they can last for a very long time with maintenance. Hope this helps! 🌺

Jill - the light banding, from what I have been told, hides the dark knotting. They also added it to Butterbeer Blonde.

Hi Kim! Yes, that is indeed why they do it...but, usually RW has a band that is just all around thicker I guess is the word?....This one does the trick, and it's not as 'much'. ;)

Nice hair and it was The first thing I noticed, this time RW did not do the almost white band of hair at the front, looks really natural and really nice, I wonder if you ever tried to put it all up, I would have a good time with so much hair, love styiling hair ( I do it on my yorkies, lol ) ...Jill, still on pins and needles about the new way to secure wigs...waiting patiently but just dying of curiosity...thanks for showing this lovely hair to us, stay safe.

Jill, this is such a lovely wig. It is on my list and I almost bought it last week, in fact. I am trying to decide whether it is substantially different from my Henry Margu Scarlet and Jon Renau Elle. I also have Karlie, which has a lace front and is something like this. It is a bit pricey and I have to decide whether I need it (well, need went out the window years ago, LOL). The color is another issue. Not sure what I want to get. I am so tempted to try Shaded Biscuit. Anyway, thinking out loud here. I love it on you. (Looked great clipped in back and, this video is so professional!) 💖👩🏻

It is pricey, so can totally understand your hesitancy. I will say it is very straight, and so I am tempted to take my hot air brush with some heat protectant to put some bend and body into the front shorter bang(ish) area and along the sides etc... It is a beautiful piece though!

I had a Belle Tress that had a solid lighter band in front. It was Butter Beer Blond. I could not deal with it. It was not blended at all.

Hi Jill. I love your wig reviews and chats.. I am becoming so frustrated with choosing a colour. I have now purchased 3 wigs which I cannot wear because of the colour. My bio hair is a cool med brown. I was assisted by Patty Pearls who are wonderful. I did purchase Raquel Welch True to life colour swatches. I have shaded cappuccino in Editors Pick.. shaded biscuit and they don't suit me. From the colour swatch of shaded biscuit, it does not show yellow blonde but the wig Upstage is very yellow blonde highlighted in front. Is this the right colour? Asking because you look beautiful in this shade and it does not appear to be yellow blonde.

I've gotten 2 shaded biscuit wigs from RW and the roots are so dark and go all the way to the ends. Way to dark for me. Yours look so nice and not all dark.

I have ordered several wigs in Shaded Biscuit lately and they have changed the color distribution! It seems as there is not as much blonde in the very front and they have chosen more of a gray color which I personally do not like. I like the brightness around my face so I have been heading back over to Regular Biscuit now because the last three I ordered were too dark and they make me look washed out when they’re that dark right there at the front. That is one of the things I loved about Shaded BiscuitWas that bright and blonde color around the front. I don’t want gray even if it looks natural I want blonde!

Hello Christina, I am so thrilled that front perimeter isn't as light in Shaded Biscuit as it usually is in other styles....but, will have to pay closer attention to other differences, and compare w/ some of my other styles in that color that I have! I am curious now!

In this style? No~. But yes...you indeed can find all that in a regular (non HD) fiber wig! For instance Rachel in Jon Renau...there are others in the Jon Renau line too. I am not familiar with any in. Raquel Welch?

How can one get a lower volume hair wig?

Hi Jill, my burning question that no one seems to address is - how do the major wig brands differ in the amount of cap in the crown area? For example, I own RW Editor's Pick Elite and Flirting with Fashion, and they both have a huge amount of excess cap in the crown. But the cap is soft enough that I pull the excess down toward the nape and it's okay. In contrast, the Ellen Wille Night and Click caps fit me perfectly in their average cap size. In my ROP, Envy, and TressAllure machine made wigs, I've had to alter the caps be removing up to 4 wefts in the crown area. Can you please rate the wig brands you've tried by how closely or loosely they fit in the crown area? I have not found that information anywhere else. Thanks so much! (BTW, my measurements seem to match yours.)

Sounds like you are an average petite. It makes sense that Ellen Wille fits you nicely because being a European brand...they fit smaller like an average/petite. Some average sizes in other European brands for like a true petite (like Belle Madam). 😉

It would be impossible for me to rate a wig like that because it would differ so much depending upon the viewers own measurements. You definitely sound smaller than me as I don’t tend to have room in the crown area like that in my wigs.

Jill, I’m loving this wig. When I clicked the link and went to the site... there are pictures of the wig ... the first is Raquel with a reddish colored wig , then the next 3 are a different girl with exactly the color I’m looking for. Is there any way you can tell me what color the model is wearing? I love it!

That's a hard call. Everyone has their own 'criteria' in what makes a first wig work for them....so, it's nearly impossible for me to make a suggestion like that. It is no secret that Raquel Welch, and Jon Renau are my favorites...and they were my firsts. ;)

There’s one huge problem about Raquel Welch synthetic wigs...I wear a lot of them but this is the reason I can no longer stand behind them...the synthetic hair constantly gets ruined after the 1st wearing, it’s horrible because you never get any other great use of the wigs. They easily get matted together and lace seems to always somehow lift from the forehead and kinda cracks on the edges. I wish for as much as I spend on these wigs they actually had more durability because having trichotillomania cannot be fix over night and I have to have a wig or else I don’t go out without my hair.

Belle Tress Butter Beer Blond has that light banding around the forehead in a very distracting way. Hopefully they will also address it.

The light banding was just added because people complained about the dark knots. It hides them.

@@kimreed1818 I realize it was to hide the darker knots, but on my Belle Tress it's a perfect line and not a blended line. That is the issue. When you look in the mirror you see a very harsh line. On my RW wigs it is much more blended. It's a great solution for hiding the darker knots, but it needs to be done with more blending otherwise you trade one issue for another.

Yes, absolutely they do. ;). Which is a great reason to embrace short wigs. HOWEVER, I have recently been very into long wigs....so, it is a trade-off. Longer wigs are more upkeep in general, and need careful combing (with wide tooth pick) through out the day as you are wearing it.

It's pretty but I noticed that light band at the hairline right off. It's distracting to me. I would cut bangs into it anyway and I think that would be pretty.

I got the same one and color. But it was so dense...was worse than balding! So disappointed! No highlights in front...very dark!

Oh wow. That's a shame. :(. I don't feel it is dense...but, we are all so different. Where did you purchase it? You have to be very careful these days...it's too easy to get knock offs. The fact that you are saying there were no highlights in this color, and that it was very dense?? ...makes me wonder! I hope you have better luck next time you try new hair! Thanks for replying. It was not a knock off. It was a reputable site. I have had really bad luck with all 3 Raquel wigs I have purchased. I usually purchase Jon Rrnau. I have purchased 10 wigs from this site. No luck with RW wigs!

I would just let your widow's peak "peak" out! ;). I would do that over lowering your wig to hide it. As long as the wig is to YOUR natural hairline...it will look perfect. ;)

If your natural hair isn't close to whatever the wig is in....I would get some fill-in powder and use that on the widow's peak (if you are wearing a rooted color...just try and get close to that color!)
