We're soon approaching the 10th year since this game has been unveiled. How has it already been 10 years?! Time flies. I still hope we can someday get the Soundtrack used in the trailer here, since the final track is different than the one used in the trailer.

OK, apparently this is confusing for people, so let me spell this out (just like it was spelled out in the presentation.) This is NOT the next installment in The Legend of Zelda series. This is a spinoff/crossover being developed by Tecmo Koei, the developers of the Dynasty Warriors series. Nintendo is NOT diverting resources away from developing a true new Zelda game for the WiiU in order for this to get made. The reason the graphics look bare-bones and many enemies seem to not move or act is because this is Alpha footage. Any more questions?

I think some people are ignoring the obvious push for the quality from the Zelda aspect in this new game. It is being produced by Aonuma, and it is obvously not just a Dynasty Warrior with Zelda assets thrown in.

It's obviously showcasing some real potential with the battle system. Besides the music being hella cheesy, it looks like it's actually going to bring something new to the table. And it's just a hunch, but co-op seems like it could be totally possible with the title being plural.

I recently bought the Wii U New Super Mario Bros. U bundle in anticipation for this game. Loving the system so far. I also have Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze.

I love the clothing he's wearing. It looks like the normal green clothing along with a few patches of the Zora Blue tunic and what looks like gauntlet shoulder-pads. Amazing!

This isn't Zelda... This is an absurdly fast-paced hack&slash with a zelda skin slapped on it. (Not that it isn't going to be good though.)

Am I the only person who actually started to giggle a bit because Link's still left-handed? (As he should be). I mean, that's a silly thing to be happy about, but it's the little detail that makes me glad.

The game nobody asked for but everyone wants. Man, I hope they base the story off the very first Link in the timeline, the one featured in the manga from the Hyrule Historia. That timeline would work well as a fighter like this instead of a typical Zelda adventure.

A few things you guys should know before you bash this game like morons. 1. This IS NOT the next installment in the Zelda series, it's a Zelda/Dynasty Warriors spinoff so you can unbundle your panties little girls. 2. The game is still in its early stages so things such as environments, enemies, character models, and graphics can change by the time this game is released. 3. While Nintendo is not making this game they are watching over Tecmo and its development so I'm sure they won't let them "ruin" Zelda. 4. This game looks pretty freaking fun.

After seeing a lot of questions on this vid i want to do this to clear some points and doubts about ''Hyrule Warriors'', so, to anyone interested if you wanna know more about (what will possibly be) this game, check this, i did it with all my heart just for the common good, BEWARE informative read awaits, lets get to it : -The Game: It is a spin off of the (Dynasty & Samurai) Warriors series, much like Warriros Orochi, One Piece: Pirate Warriors and Dynasty Warriors: Gundam, etc., hence the provisional name, it is NOT a spin off of the ''The Legend of Zelda'' series. -The Game(play): Like the rest of the Warriors series (and like shown on this trailer) it will be a hack n slash game, in case you don't want to look up the Warriors series, it focuses on sort of beat'em up-mission style where your mission is to... well beat everyone up (not 100% of the time) these ''missions'' are divided betwen the various maps or ''scenarios'' on where individually there may or may not be secondary objectives, the set number of scenarios represents the whole lenght of the game (plus maybe additional modes?), the diversity of the game lies not in the number of scenarios but in the number/variety of playable characters, you'll always have a set objective and most likely few paths to succes, so the fun factor is not what you will do to get from point a to point b but whom which character you'll be able to do it with more style. -The Story: Stop, right now, this game will most likely not fit in any of the Zelda storylines or if anything will create it's own, there's a reason for this, like i said the serie's appeal is based on the wide variety of characters and the possibilities each offers which means that, unless they change that formula (that has been going strong for 14 years...) this game will be just like it, which means we'll probably see various Links, Gannons, Zeldas, etc from various timelines together at once, most likely thought the argument Time/Dimesional Travel (see Warriors Orochi for more info). -The Graphics: Warriors series is not particularly known for its uber quality graphics, specially certain complex effects, but that's not as bad as it sounds, look up the vids of the most recent game, Samurai Warriors 4 on it's PS3 version to get an idea of how this game will look like when its finished. -Final bits: The game is NOT being made by Nintendo but by the team behind the Warriors Series (of course), Omega Force. In case you're still wondering, no, this is not a The Legend of Zelda main game. Some of this remarks are based on the historial of previous work of the Omega Force team, the one they've been doing for 14 years with their series, and are 90% likely, but still not final, so some minor details, specially gameplay wise, may vary in the final product.

Iwata said this is not the Wii U zelda, so , Is like an extra zelda, and with an entirely different way to play it, so, is AWESOME

Well, apparently, no one knows that this game is being made by the guys who made Dinasty Warriors, that's why it's called Hyrule Warriors... really, people should investigate more.

Looking at these comments, it's kinda clear that people seem to not only think Nintendo can do nothing right, but also that they should be blamed for everything. Because how dare they sign up and collaborate with Tecmo Koei to make a spin-off/crossover game! And how dare they tell people that they're making it in the Altha stages of development! How dare they do all this so their fans don't have to twiddle their thumbs waiting for another Zelda game! You know. A crossover game in collaboration with the guys who made Tecmo Koei. A game that combines Dynasty Warriors with Zelda. Hence why the game's called "HRYULE WARRIORS". Apparently no one ever told most people here that a crossover with another game series is gonna have gameplay from said series in the game. Or that, you know, a cross-over game is not a core series game, and is therefore not in any way gonna ruin the Zelda series. Yes it's incredibly Dynasty Warriors based. ...But maybe that's because IT IS a Dynasty Warriors based game? On that note, this game isn't even being made for the most part by Nintendo. They pretty much handed their series over to Tecmo Koei, and went "here, make a crossover", gave them some guidelines, then let them do their thing. Thus if your blaming Nintendo for the contents of this game you might as well blame them for Sonic and the Secret Rings as well. They have nothing to do with this apart from giving the series over to another company. Next thing you know, Nintendo's gonna be blamed for global warming. Because they seem to be having the blame placed on them for bloody well everything nowadays.
