Wild Camp on Cold Law, the Cheviots

7 ай бұрынFor our first wild camp of the year, my son @belowaveragewildcamper and I headed for Cold Law.
After a short ascent, I pitched my X-Mid 2p by Durston Gear, and Stephen pitched his new SilPoly Trailstar by Mountain Laurel Designs.
We then enjoyed a Lamb Tagine with couscous, cooked by Stephen on the Trangia 25. Despite a forecast of clear skies, we were hit with an unexpected snow storm.
A fantastic camp to start the year, I hope you enjoy.

That's was grand I've seen you before when I've watched your lads channel. Love the master classes, a Trangia is on my wish list. Happy Birthday I'm chasing you in years. l turned 66 last Dec catching you up. Started my multi day hikes and wild camps when I retired 6years ago and believe they are as real tonic and aid to longevity, should be prescribing on the NHS.

Spot on Dave, looked like a good walk in to camp, I’ve been up cold law before, looks a good one, food looked lovely 👌. Always nice to wake to a bit snow on a wildcamp, atb Mick 👍
