Seeing “Pokémon Z” on the screen nearly sent me to heaven and back. I started with Pokémon X, so finally getting this “third version” is healing the pokehole in my pokeheart. A 2025 release window makes me feel good, because I really want this game to be amazing. I hope they take their time on it. Kalos is deserving of a masterpiece!

That's so real. I've played pokemon here and there as a kid, but X was my first real pokemon game. I remember all the rumors about pokemon Z, then there was the news that there may have been another one, but was cut due to the revenue of the first two games. I was hoping gamefreak would make something like this, so I'm really excited!

He probably does like a few streamers do, which is have some music that they can pull up and play in the background of streams without much risk of it getting flagged by copyright stuff. A lot of streamers/youtubers mute actual in game music for quite a few games because of that risk.

I like how everyone is "What Z - A??? AZ?? Are we getting Floette and pre wars stories??? And megas???" But the city looks way too futuristic for something 3k years ago plus firing the ultimate weapon created the mega stones. So having anything set in the time around the AZ and Floette story is highly unlikely

I don't think it's meant to look futuristic, I think it's meant to look like a blueprint because the city isn't built yet.

@@wintersong2266 Yea, that was my take on it, is that this was the blueprint and the vision they had planned for the future of the city, so we'll probably be playing during the time when stuff is first getting built. No idea how far in the past that is, however, since pokemon has always been kind of all over the place with the tech availability.

BTW if this game goes for the “completing the pokedex is the main focus” approach just like arceus then where gonna be in for it because kalos has the biggest regional non dlc pokedex to date with a nice 457 pokemon (and thats not counting any pokemon that get kalosian forms

i've seen other people speculate that it will be more battle focused, which could be really fun! or maybe even more side quest focused? the trailer said the renovations are to help people and pokémon coexist, and the side quests were how we did that in pla. damn i just wish they talked about potential gameplay at all

This is apparently going to be one of GameFreaks most ambitious games, taking place primarily in just Lumiose city. GTA Pokémon basically. It's something to do with turning Lumiose into a city where both humans and Pokémon can thrive together, so it's most likely future or present time since in XY Lumiose is just a city for humans.

I'm so happy they're going back to kalos, there's too many unanswered questions, south kalos, power plant, hoopa, diancie, volcanion, mega latis, WTF zygarde was doing chilling in the cave when the powers of gods of life and death were being messed with, what was in X2 Y2 I though a switch 2 would be nice since more power usually makes games run better, but now I REALLY want it. imagine Z-A is the first pokemon game on it

Pokemon Z is absolutely going to be a Switch successor launch title. Can't think of any other reason they'd announce it now for NEXT year, than it being planned for this successor that was apparently planned for this year and then pushed to next

@UnicornFishStudios I think that's a bit early the switch 2 has been believed to have been pushed back so realistically it probably won't come out until spring 2025 so January would be a bit early for this game

okay not even mad like i genuinely enjoyed kalos so much, it was my first adulthood new gen game, me and one of my best friends coordinated. I got X (I always go for the cool toned or darker shade) and she got Y, and our other best friend picked it up about a month later so when my first best friend was less fixated, me and my other best friend were (still, in my case) popping off. I’m turning 30 this year… jesus christ that was over a decade ago 🫣

Seeing as Az is someone from 3000 years in the past, what if the ZA means we might be going to the future? The two Legends games, book ending Scarlet and Violet, one being set in the past the other in future kinda sits nicely with the paradox pokemon from S&V. Either way, I'm excited to see more.

i think that they made a kalos game because when gen 9 was getting trailers and stuff a lot of people were talking about kalos being dlc (because spain and france being next to eachother) but since that didnt happen they are making a completely new game
