It used to be that priveledged people got opportunities but still had to prove themselves. Now they can behave like this and still get the important jobs with responsibility that need knowledge and intelligence - why do you think the world has gone to sh!t. Look at how doctors have behaved in the past few years for example. Everything is bought and paid for.

She’s absolutely spot-on about 99% of what she says, including the Kalergi Plan and European replacement agenda, Islamic rape-gangs, the islamification of Europe, and the fact that veganism de-masculinises men and destroys their member. Even vegan men are very open about this. Mic clearly just objecteth too much!

Why couldn't a debate moderator have asked Katie to please constrain her debate points to cogent arguments, and not an endless barage of hyperbole and awkward attempts at comedy? One would think Oxford would have higher standards.

Oxford Union not Oxford University. All they do are debates. They expect the audience of intelligent, critical thinkers to be able to spot the bad debaters like Hopkins. The point is to be good at debate and to bring a strong argument, not to be a cringe-inducing insult-machine. Hopkins chose to alienate the entire audience. The results of this debate show that they did ignore the poor debaters. 112 to 84 voted in favour of "This House Would Go Vegan".

Day 5 of being vegan: I am shrivelling away due to starvation. All I do is suck on quinoa and locusts. I was 6'1" but I lose an inch of height (on both ends) every day. My hip bones have shattered due to a lack of cows' milk. My life is miserable. I have no friends. Hahaha, nope. It's year 5 and I just received blood test results. Healthy levels in everything related to nutrition. But even if my specific experience wasn't as positive, the data are still clear that eating whole food plant based is generally the healthiest way to eat.

As a farmer, it makes little sense. When we do well, we buy things in our community. The community does better, and is thus more capable to help vulnerable people. With things like education and healthcare. Those communities encourage the export, and increase production, which brings down the price. Quinoa prices don’t just go up at a linear rate, it’s lumpy.

Vegans also only make up roughly 2% of the global population. There simply aren’t enough of us to blame for something like this. Non-vegans buy and eat quinoa, too. Not to mention many other plant foods.

The problem with these Oxford "debates" against veganism is that they don't need/feel the need to be intellectually honest and scientifically accurate to win over the audience. All they have to do is encourage people not to change, no mater how many lies they tell to 'support' this. It would be interesting seeing someone actually *_try_* to debate veganism (actual veganism, not what they strawman it to be) with science for a change. I wonder why we never see that? 🙄

Quinoa is one of the few grains non vegans are crazy about! It's high in protein and non gluten and low glycemic. Once it was pushed as a super good that ticks off all those boxes everyone wanted it

8 years vegan, and just now I started including it in salads, I remember first time I tried it, it was disgusting 😂 now I start adding it in salads, but its nothing close to my main food source. I mainly eat, legumes, local grains, local veggies, and local fruits mostly.

I just read an updated review on nutrition and bone health and there was a connection between increased saturated fat consumption and lower bone mineral density. Saturated fat caused the bone to lose calcium. That could be a potential mechanism and explanation

It's an overused tactic of control to discourage open communication between parties and is extremely deceptive. Those with any knowledge of psychology see through the manipulation (even if you don't and only use it as a result of a conditioned mindset). It not only doesn't add to your argument but makes you appear ignorant- especially when you don't even fact check first.

So glad the vegans won. I hate that people try to make veganism a conservative vs liberal thing or a religious vs secular thing. Me personally my spiritual journey lead me to veganism even when I wasn’t sure if it was the healthiest. Also most our ancestors were plant based relying on plants is not a new progressive thing for humans. Not the most religious but the Bible also speaks about plant based eating or at least pescatarian including small oily fish. Saying God gave us every herb bearing seed upon the face of all the earth, and every fruit bearing tree. When honey is mentioned in the Bible they are speaking on Date Syrup not honey from a bee. The Bible also says to eat beans, lentils, wheat, Barley, millet, spelt.

Any time I mention spirituality or anything related to God on KZfaq I get very negative responses I felt a ignorant response coming from you so I figure I’d beat you to it. If you really don’t know what the word spirituality means the definition is, “the quality of being concerned with the human spirit or soul as opposed to material or physical things.” A quick google search away.

@@jelatinosa I think she is confusing the word, "domesticated" with the word "domestic" as in "belonging or relating to the home, house, or family". That is why she said that we would take cows into our homes.

Thanks. The mind boggles at how that woman and her bizarre statements and behaviour were... well, tolerated I suppose although that's a strong word. As you say, it does look as if she's behaving like a stand up comic. It seems almost as if she's parodying herself. And that lame argument about vegan consumption of soya driving the damage in the amazon forest: surprised people still trot that out. Doesn't the public know most of the soya is fed to farm animals and then there's forest cleared for grazing? Frankly, with such speakers, I'm surprise the side against veganism got the number of votes that they did. Actually it's a sobering thought: it shows that so much of society is viscerally against veganism to the extent that they would swallow such weird - well, illogical and unsubstantiated- reasoning against it. In a previous video you had pointed out how lower back pain could result from narrowed arteries due to high cholesterol etc., as those bones get oxygen from sort of seeping through blood vessels. Here in this video the linkage of narrowed arteries with osteoporosis is interesting and I think new for me. Thanks.
