WILD Military and CIA Experiments You Won’t Believe

During the 1950s and 60s the U.S. Military and CIA ran some experiments with animals that are difficult to explain. In a video I researched I accident, I explore four of the more bizarre attempts to create animal weapons I have discovered. The U.S. Government tried to make Bats into bombs and cats into spies. They loaded bears into planes to test experimental ejection capsules. They even gave an elephant a heroic dose of LSD.
What were they doing? Some of it makes sense. Other parts... less so. Let me know, what crazy experiments do you know about that didn't make the list?

I dont expect a video each time just about that , i enjoy different topics and history from all time periods , but those are definitely my favorite. But it definitely is good to have variety. @JaMeshuggah Strange but all true… Although I there is at least one CIA agent that claims the cat was never run over. So that piece of that one might be bunk but it’s hard to say. Wanted to throw that out there because putting it in the video changed the pacing in a way I didn’t like. But so maybe one animal lived. Like when a dog isn’t cut out for police work so he just gets adopted by some family.

If our phones and devices are not always listening why does my phone know when I say “hey Siri?” Why does my Amazon Echo know when I say “Alexa?” Why does my computer know when I am talking if my mic is “off” during a zoom meeting? Why do I see so many ads about products I have told my wife not to buy? They are always listening and we have invited them into our homes. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.

The experiments I find the most abhorrent (I am a retired nurse and understand the need for experiments even if I don’t like them), was the experiments in the late 40’s and 1950’s of exposing soldiers to radiation (i.e. atomic bombs) to see what happened to them. Many died slow painful deaths from radiation sickness or died of cancer later in life. The effects of radiation on humans was not known but it was horrific experimentation.

Operation "Midnight Climax"? Yeah, sounds like something I'd volunteer for. But seriously, I've had friends in the CIA and it wasn't all just MKULTRA and elephants abusing illicit drugs - Cold War spycraft is fascinating even without presidential assassinations, and yielded us tons of valuable (actually - priceless) information. The only thing you'll hear about the CIA from the pro-left media and popular culture are the absurdities and the failures. Also, the incendiary bats plan was actually a good idea - probably handled by the wrong people. I can picture some private or corporal mentioning the risk of fire on base and being dismissed as having an "attitude problem". (been there, done that)

I tried very intentionally to keep this video short so I left things out. But the bat program, Project X-Ray, had some really crazy projections for effectiveness. It was thought the bats could be 10X more damaging than the fire bombing runs that were happening. It might be a project in the future but I do legitimately believe that dropping the atomic bomb could be considered an act of mercy. The fire bombing campaigns were constant and the death tolls and damage was staggering. They killed way more people but with the shock of the damage one atomic bomb does in a single day. If the bat program would have been as effective as the projections what a crazy turn in history that would have been…. Makes me a more than a little leary of the potential of mass drones in warfare. And fair point on the CIA programs. It is definitely the nature of intelligence that much of the good is buried to the public and the secrecy leads to massive amounts of scrutiny. It’s a double edged sword. And there are many legitimate concern on their level of power, influence, and the ethical nature of their activities. Thank you for you comment and for reading my book.

@@datesanddeadguys in short no, I dont think he worked alone. The fact that LHO admitted to being a patsy way before anyone suggested he was is too much of a coincidence. And every time I accept that he did do it alone, there's always new or revisited evidence that suggests otherwise. And I agree it's been covered a billion times over. There is a super eerie recording from a former KGB agent named Yuri Alexandrovich Bezmenov. It made its rounds a few years ago but recently I have seen it popping up again. He details this process in a short but really scary interview. Google him, you will find it. It mirrors what you are saying.

Not sure I can handle this,when it comes to hearing about the poor animals that was used, hurt, killed! Why would you kill an elephants ? That’s not necessary and I believe many of the scientists had to enjoy hurting animals! Are we not at a place where we know better,but we still don’t do better! I’m sick every time I hear how animals have been used, abused, tortured and killed, for what ? Vanity?,becauce we can we do it still in 2024 ! Shame on us!
