So we hiked the La Cloche Silhouette Trail in Killarney this past September. In this video we found a Paddle In The Park Contest Paddle, had lots of rain, got a lot of blisters and hiked ALOT.
Enjoy! And Hiking is a never ending portage!

Love this video! Question: do we need a food barrel when camping at Killarney backcountry? How do you guys do? Thank you 😊

If your hiking your food would most likely be in a dry bag and hung in a tree or whatever your preference is. We use a barrel while canoe tripping just for convenience but you can use anything really. ☺️

Vet tape! You use it on horses legs and stuff because it doesn’t stick to anything but itself :) Leukotape is also AMAZING

Hey! Just starting to watch this series now as I just discovered this trail. How much training would you recommend for a trail like this? I would consider myself a beginner as I've only backpacked in Algonquin a couple times.

Honestly, start hiking hills and rough terrain with a loaded backpack. Although Algonquin has some rough terrain here and there - it is nothing compared to Killarney at all. The more you are able to train yourself, the better you’ll do on the trail. It’s very technical and Algonquin doesn’t really have that, if you have the chance - hike The Crack in Killarney to get somewhat of an idea of some of the terrain. But definitely start training ASAP and break in your boots! ☺️ it’s a beautiful trail, you’ll love it!
