Which is precisely what Brezeale did when he left himself wide open after he made (2) awful mistakes! First, he tried to throw a LEFT hook from his HIP, which just happens to be on the same side as Wilder's right hand , but had lowered both his hands as he motioned to punch, with too much distance between himself and Wilder. Only a fighter with blazing speed can hope to land a punch like that and breazele is one if the slowest, most awkward fighter's in the hwy division. Anyway, it was an explosive, devastating ko, but brezeale made it easy for wilder to extend the way he did and all wilder basically had to do was let it rip!

That's right, allthough in general wilder isn't a great technical boxer but to hit hard & with the right timing etc. Against Fury he didn't do great yes, but fury is in a class of his own, all the other (top) heavywerights he could beat, including joshua & usyk. I used to greatly favor Joshua to beat Wilder or even Fury, but after some pretty poor performances changed my mind. really hope we still get to see those fights!

It looked to me like he did. I've seen at least 5 of his previous fights and he looked more lean and fit in this one. His real problem is that as an ex football player, he started very late as a boxer. Hes a big man who can punch hard but has even worst skills that Deontay wilder. He is slow and awkward and those are probably the two worst qualities any boxer can have.

6:21 Down goes Breazale!
@leonardcharles59
@leonardcharles59 3 жыл бұрын
Down goes ANY fighter who hasnt learned real, genuine defense! Breazeale nor wilder have good defensive abilities. Breazeale has NO defense at all, and wilder's defense is to move straight backwards and depend on his long legs to create enough distance so that his opponent can't reach him. Ortiz and fury proved to wilder how ineffective it is to try move straight backwards to escape punches instead of learning to slip them or block them with his hands, twisting at the hips and waist and even taking a step or two to the side. Neither breazeale nor wilder do any of these and that's why they both get hit.

As I see it Wilder holds his ground & learns to get more leverage on the inside fight game he can do significant damage to Fury. If stays on the outside of Fury's range & let's him control to much real estate it will be the same outcome. Wilder has to realize this is the only man within his division with a range longer than his. It would suit him better to get inside rip the body & fight through the clinches. A tiring task but I believe if he sticks to a game plan around that it will be one of the toughest fights in Heavyweight history.
