Real Wild

6 жыл бұрын

Marvel at this epic story, seen through the eyes of the king of the resident golden baboons in the Luangwa Valley, one of the last true wildernesses in Africa. It appears to be an idyllic setting, but below this tranquil scene, is a concentration of animal drama found nowhere else in Africa.

Surprisingly it has the same effect on me and I saw a couple of studies that showed that even documentaries with violence and death actual have a calming or setting effect on many people. Especially ages 35 and older with even elderly feeling the same calming or seemed to quite people even when anxiety issues. I think it’s because it’s all natural and nature is just as it is and always has been with no lie’s or having to worry about the subject , I believe it just makes sense in this ever more delusional world think (that is finally reaching its end) and watch something that’s about nature and how it can surprise us but is it squally exactly as nature has always been. I’m not trying to take credit because I think other’s thought of this or prayed for it to happen as well, I was so hoping the rare gene was with the father (troop leader) and I hoped we’d be blessed with seeing another white fur/hair baby heir. God most certainly have looked graciously on the documentary film makers and gave them a beautiful ending. Truly amazing effort plus hard work and a extremely well done documentary, it was such a joy to watch and great listening experience with wonderful narration..

@@trendmassacre8423 You completely missed the point. I was complementing the quality of the documentary that makes us feel like we are experiencing what nature really has. And there are more emotions other than "grieving" in this film, so you mentioning "crying over the death of a monkey" only shows how the point of this documentary went way over your head. It's more than that, it's about fear, triumph, survival and much more, just like our ancestors did. And if you're going to respond to this, please make sure you're not just going to spew hate. I find it so incredible and so moving that animals can have very similar reactions and feelings just like humans. I’ve played games where you are an animal that is looking after young ones and I’ve lost them and I know of the pain of losing someone especially the ones that you’re supposed to care for so I at least know somewhat of what the mother is going through but her emotion must be 10 times stronger than what I go through because I just play video games this is real life that’s so sad to see her carrying her sons dead body even after it starts to rot. that’s horrible!

*Angel Bookman* __Great story and images......but like in many of these docus, the producers invent stories to make them more dramatic......it seems too cute that the rival got his just deserve, which might as well have been any victim from the many predators, and then.......Hosanna !!!...there..... against all ods.... yet another white furred baby , to close this story optimistically......which were ofcourse images of the original albino baby baboon.....since these are already a very seldom occurance, it's very unlikely to happen for a second time in just a month or so.....Too often these docus ....especially from Nat Geo or Discovery, take their viewers for couch potato douchebags. ..... Spot the "fake news" 🥴?

47:26 The dead baboon could've been any unlucky leopard victim...That seems just *too* good and convenient end to this story ... _"the child killer getting his just reward"_ Don't believe it for a second .... Nature knows no justice . Makes ofcourse a satisfying end to this very good docu , for the more sensitive viewers...

Jared - the Narrator is Samuel West. Agreed, he is very good, sounds a bit like Sir Lawrence Olivier ( not quite as polished and precise in his delivery, but close. Speaking of Olivier, watch a documentary called The World at War about WW2 and narrated by Sir Lawrence. Great example of just how honed Olivier's delivery was. His many years of elocution and projection training for the British stage no doubt had an influence on his talents ). Edited: because I hit "publish" too soon and the comment was incomplete and incoherent.
