@zee33912 жыл бұрын
It depends if the chain is not to long neither to short
@exploranator2 жыл бұрын
@@zee3391 No, the moment you turn the steering wheel slightly, the front wheels take a longer arc around a corner than the rear wheels, so they would want to speed up, which would only work so long until the rear wheel didn't want to let it. Now, if you had two bars connected to MAKE the front and rear wheels go the same speed, you would have the situation where the wheel with the most traction forced the wheel with less traction to turn its speed. Other crazy dynamics, such as he found, yanking the steering off of where it is aimed, would also occur.

anti towing techniques...how about parking in a legal parking spot...
@NBSV15 жыл бұрын
A tow truck has plenty of power to drag a car. And beyond that they normally have dollies they can put under the wheels if they won’t roll. Or, can just drag it up onto a rollback. You could try attaching the car to something solid, but at that point they’ll likely either tear something up trying to drag it, or cut the chain. Also in some countries they use tow trucks that have a crane to pick up the car and set it on a flatbed. So, in short. You can make it more of a hassle to tow, but they’re still gonna be able to tow it.
@tristissimvshominvm89995 жыл бұрын

Depends on how powerful the engine is. If the engine is weak, it will lock up. Trying harder will probably blow the engine. If the engine is powerful, most probable result is the pinion gear will shatter (likely along with several suspension parts). Then the driveshaft will spin freely, but the car will still go nowhere. Basically a rolling chassis that makes a lot of noise. You'd be surprised how many vital components of your car depend on very small parts.

My freind has a Lowrider and it has got stollen in the past . So he tied a chain around the differential to a lock and attached it to a chain that was buried about 4 feet and only the last link was visible. He then “slammed”the car all the way down and took the ground for the batteries. No one has been able to steal it again.
@gadiensguide43854 жыл бұрын
If I was game I would chain the car around the differential to the lowest point on the ground. Interesting to see people actually think some of these methods would work, especially through the door handle part lol.

That's a faster way to pull the steering wheel. Overall I got a great laugh out of it. Since you have a good time trying stuff with cars, say you are stuck with a all wheel drive or 4 x 4. You have a couple 2x4x10 boards and some bolts. Could you get unstuck by connecting the front and rear wheels on both sides with the boards and bolts. In the same way that a locomotive turns its wheels?. What would be the outcome? Just curious.
@shawnr7715 жыл бұрын
Not sure of that but I think no. if you have 2 poles and the chains. You can dig under the vehicle to get the pole across the drive tires. Chain the pole to the tires through the rim. Drive up on the pole. This will lift your vehicle up out of the mud. Undo the chain. Using the second pole. Put it across the drive tires and chain it to the tires. Pull forward onto the second pole. Remove the first pole and repeat the process until you are free.

As a tow truck driver, I promise you that I'll still remove your vehicle. I don't care if the parking brake is on, you cut the wheels, or even if you chain all four wheels together. Either a wrecker or flatbed will work. There's skates, go Jack's, dollies, and different techniques. Might add a few minutes to the task, but one way or another, it's coming with me :)
@ViscosityAE5 жыл бұрын
as a tow truck driver, i also agree with this , i dont care if i have to drag it up the bed in park its still coming with me, the only problem i see is if it was chained to a lightpost or something it would have to be cut.

Can't stop a tow truck! With or without wheels, tires turned, (they use wood blocks for that). Unless chained to another car or post, they have bolt cutters, or access to one.
