3 minute ad for a 12 minute vid is nuts

They've been doing a lot of marketing for it already. I think it's going to do well.

You guys gotta stop putting the KF sponsor segments in these highlight videos. Save it for the main channel, where the ad segment during a longer video is acceptable. One of the other videos on this highlight channel is 9 minutes long with a 3 minute ad/sponsor segment in between. So 6 minutes of content with 3 minutes of ads. That's insane.

Unlikely that Astrobot will bomb. Sony hasn’t done a family oriented title In forever. It seems like the PS community is just ready.

My 10 year old daughter has already got it on preorder digitally. Think you underestimate how popular Astro playroom was with families. We spent hours playing it together

Probably. People always say they want these smaller, "more risky" games from Sony, and then, when we get them, no one buys them. In fact, games like this are generally used as ammunition AGAINST Sony. They get laughed at for releasing anything that's not the biggest AAA experience, and the media largely ignores them. So i could see people undermining them this holiday when Microsoft has Avowed and Indiana Jones and "all they have" is Astro, Concord, and LEGO Horizon. It'll probably get called a "soft year" despite all them having last year was Spider-Man 2. This year will be a test. All of Sony's releases are the quirky, smaller scale games people claim to want from them. Helldivers 2 paid off, but I feel like that's a fluke. Stellar Blade doesn't seem like it blew up. Lets see if these other games sell or if the people bemoaning the loss of studios like Studio Japan are just in it for the fanboy drama

I do wish the characters felt less generic and more original and iconic. Tim mentioned something similar in another show.

pretty sure its always been older people who play single player games, even going back to the 90s. i dont think kids understood or enjoyed playing mario or zelda even back then. they appreciate it more as they get older. dunno how much that might be true with this skibidi generation though

Astro is only the most wishlisted game because it’s the only game from Sony that is worth wishlisting right now, and much more people own a ps5 than an Xbox. I think it looks pretty good but I was hoping it would have been VR as the last main game was a highlight of psvr1. This was pretty much confirmation that Sony have abandoned psvr2 and I wasted £500 👎

Nah andy, you're too naive. If banjo come out and it's well crafted it won't attract anywhere near as attention simply because of the logo attached to it. The media will do anything to keep playstation relevant.
