I bought some take-off Ford Raptor wheels and tires for my 2018 F150. I wanted to see if they would fit without a lift kit, or simply with adding a leveling kit. It took some trial and error to get them to fit, and I am very pleased with the results!

Great video and you helped me decide to put 3rd gen raptor take offs on my 2018 FX4 with the long bed, just like yours. I did a 3.5 lift with new UCAs, but other than the front mud flaps, they fit like a charm! Great video!

@@TheGoodeLifeOutdoors Per my shop's recommendation, went with the 3.5" ReadyLift SST lift kit. Came with new upper control arms and with the raptor wheels and tires, added about 5" of height to the truck, making it under 7 feet, so still fits in most parking garages as well as my own!

Outstanding video dude!!! Short and sweet and your delivery style is spot on. This video steered me away from negative offset aftermarket wheels or costly 20" tires for my stock Platinum rims. Picked up a set of 2021 Raptor rims and tires for $1,500 w\450 miles on them. Had to drive 8 hours round trip to get them, but $100 in fuel and a little time was well worth it imo! Now I just have to get motivated in this cold weather to throw the 2.5" pucks in and enjoy less power and fewer mpgs! ha ha Thanks again!!!

I've only confirmed with the 2.5 level lift, which is only the spacers, using the factory control arms. You may want to double-check with the manufacturer of your lift, as it probably uses new control arms, and you'll need to see if those have a chance of making contact. If it's helpful the specs for the Raptor wheels are - 17" x 8.5", with 34mm offset( 3.41 front space, 6.08 back space). Sounds like a great setup, and I hope it works well for you!

I did this with 1.5" Motofab spacers on my 18 2.7EB Super Crew 5.5ft bed. 2.0" spacers would have been enough for your ride. Notice what happens when you put the smallest load in the bed or a trailer? She is way over level then. You will want to lift the back some if that is the case. 3" blocks or 2" blocks plus RAS. 2.5" level spacers are a tad overkill if this is all you wanted to achieve. Bilstein's set @ 1.75" are also plenty enough to achieve this as well, but rode too stiff for my taste. Its the +34" wheel offset that makes this possible. +18" offset is probably the most you can get away with when running the 315/70/17's and a simple spacer lift.
@TheGoodeLifeOutdoors
@TheGoodeLifeOutdoors 2 жыл бұрын
I like the current stance, and I wasn't too worried about the squat with 900+ pounds of lumber I had in there recently. I have considered adding 1.5" blocks in the back, just because. Would 2" spacers work? Maybe, but I'm cool with the extra height. Thanks for stopping by!

@TheGoodeLifeOutdoors
@TheGoodeLifeOutdoors Ай бұрын
No, there really wasn't much of a noticeable difference in power - maybe a tad slower on take off. This truck, having the FX4 and max towing packages, is already geared well for larger tires (I believe it's 3.73). Funny enough, my average mileage actually increased after I put these on, but I attribute that to the aggressive tires that I bought the truck with. I do feel the ride is smoother, since I have higher sidewalls.

I dropped off a ledge while making a sharp turn at a local fishing spot and it did make contact somewhere in the wheel well. I immediately inspected it to make sure I didn't rip anything out of there, and could not find the spot of impact. That's the only time I made any contact with this setup. For 99% of my driving, I'm confident it will perform safely.

Well, you could have saved yourself some money and just bought some 275/65-20 tires that said let me explain a 315 70 17 is approximately 34.3 in tall with 8.7 of sidewall your stock tire is approximately 31.9 in tall with 6 in of sidewall and a 275 65 20 is approximately 34.1 in tall with 7 inches of sidewall the big difference is the stock wheel 20x8.5 + 44 would have worked with the 275 65 20 where as the raptor wheel 17 by 8.5 +55 won't. I think you wanted to level and raise your truck the wheels and tires were an excuse because once again you could have just took the spacers out of the rear approximately three quarters of an inch and bingo still has a little rake but it looks much better. Whichever way you decided to go I hope and pray to God that you took a Phillips screwdriver and adjusted your headlights when you were finished because nothing screams I'm an idiot more than a raised F-150 with the headlights glaring and everyone's face at night but then again as long as you can see EEF everybody else right?...but at least your tires aren't sticking way out like some monster truck. The reason Ford runs a +55 is that it keeps the tire from sticking out which kills fuel mileage that much more

I have since added a larger lift block in the rear to bring the rake back - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bLtzoKels9qmm6s.html - and I am very pleased with how my truck looks and functions. Funny enough, this past year I replaced the BF Goodrich AT tires with Cooper AT3 tires, and I am now getting better fuel mileage than before I lifted the truck.
