PC Gaming is the logical future. Consoles are outdated, weak & anti-consumer. Paying for multiplayer & 70 bucks for games is delusion. Not to mention 30 fps...

Save? The only way image quality is getting better this generation is devs not relying on upscaling. That’s why it’s been so bad.

DF just continues to "not understand" how tech works outside of nvidia.... The things Alex complain about with FSR was fixed in FSR2.2... However, many games just haven't implemented the various masks required to remove occlusion artifacts, transparency smearing, ghosting etc. Download the devkit and the examples and try out for yourselves. It's not a technology issue... It's an implementation issue. It's still possible to complain that developers seem to struggle more with the manual intervention required by FSR. But we really NEED to stop pretending it's a technology issue, when it is not.

The fact that PS5 gets a solid 60 fps on Cyberpunk 2077 performance mode most of the time shows that you're wrong. The real issue with PS5 and XSX right now is upscaling image quality. We need optimized games, not frame generation. We need crisp and clean image quality when upscaling. FSR 3 is gonna end up being miraculous on console, especially when games like GTA VI come out and push consoles to their limit. No one cares about ray tracing or true native 4k on console. Nobody wants 30 fps, it's unacceptable. Everybody prefers upscaled 4k & native 1440p for 60 fps. Everybody prefers performance mode.

Playstation and Xbox - AMD is ALL they have. Steamdeck, Ayaneo Pro, Lenovo handheld, that's ALL they have. AMD is the choice, the only choice

With larger required space and worst graphics than most ps4 games and the same 30 fps in most games this gen is the true definition of 2.0 hardware am ashamed of saying am having a current gen of console .. if u have a ps4 or xbox one stick with it nothing impressive awaits you seriously 🤫

Back with this again? What this generation needs is more games that are optimised for the platforms. Naughty Dog, Santa Monica, Guerrilla Games, Insomniac just to name a few are showing what can be done on PS5 without FSR 3.X. The only thing this generation needs saved from is that culture of excessive corporate greed.

For an output resolution of 1080p , upscalers should not be used. They should start at base 1080p res and output at 1440p and 4k.

You fix the issue by having devs pick one fps setting (30fps, 60fps, 120fps) from the beginning and build from there. Treating consoles like a pc is the problem and causes the issue where one mode gets left behind which tends to be fps since gamers want realistic graphics. Let games go back to being about the art/story and not the graphics or bastard sequels and we wont have fps issues.

Been playing on PC for like my whole life and I truly think image upscaling is the future. This is from playing with DLSS and seeing how amazing it has developed. Granted, I’m not playing on 1080P and I’ve heard it doesn’t look that great in those lower output modes.

I think people are overlooking the effects of other graphical effects. For example, they added a motion bur option to Avatar-Frontiers of Pandora, and to be honest, playing around with the motion blur strength, i can now play it on graphics mode and and it still runs really smoothly; and i don't need the graphics to be sharp when i am turning around anyway, and don't feel i am missing out on anything but gained the fidelity of the graphics mode.

Latest FSR on PC in Starfield look great, also with frame gen. Seems that it is not that bad at all.

TSR isn't used because I thought some developers said the cost is too much over FSR. But if FSR is getting additional changes, it might just have the same increased cost anyways. But hopefully with the same quality.
