Dont give up on her, you can buy the entire tub for that this very reasonably! I had a 62 Willis years ago, they are a real blast to cruise around in. Very capable off road too. Come to think about it, mine lost 2nd gear, I found a place in Fort Worth Texas that I carried my transmission in and took one off the shelf, 200 bucks!

YESSSSSSSSSS!!! The Salty Tetanus Jeep (STJ-1) runs AWESOME!!! Great revival work! Some angle iron, square tubing, sheet metal & some stitches with the welder will make this a worthy member of the NNKH fleet - especially for towing all the rehabbed toys out to the river/lake during the upcoming summer season (I was shocked at how good a lot of the chassis metal looked through the floor!)! I, for one, love the jumping around because it keeps things interesting instead of predictable. Keep it coming, and I'd love to see this rig get street legit on the cheap!!! Cheers!!!

Thank you very much for these. I haven't twisted a wrench in years but this brings back pleasant memories of restoring cards ack in the 60's and 70's. He was a Navy recruiter and when out in the field visiting recruits he would keep a logbook and map of everything he spotted. We pulled out many 39 & 40 Fords and got them running in place. One memorable day was finding a 1937 Ford fastback that had set for 25+ years with trees growing up thru the engine compartment. Finally got it free and after a few hours he got it running and we actually drove it down the mountain for about 10 miles before trailering it. I still have flashback toi many cars we found when I get a sniff of 25 year old gas. Again...thank you for triggering some of those memories and allowing me to live vicariously thru you. If I lived close enough to you I would probably have plenty of grease under my fingernails giving you a hand. Keep up your drive...you have a real talent.

God bless your wonderful wife for dealing with rust and dirt ❤️ . No woman I’ve known ever totally accepted turning my driveway into a grease full of dirt and parts . I’m sure you do your best to keep everything as clean as possible as you do have a nice home . We are thankful when a girl understands how projects are dirty , time consuming and run up quite a bill $$ . My heart goes out to every one of them and gives me the inclination to work with them as their partner and make life tolerable , when cars and projects are involved . It’s clear to see , that 39 years sitting in an environment that causes rust from moisture did not treat this poor Jeep well . I thought my ‘73 CJ 5 raises flags , I’m NOT giving up on it , but if the side panels are salvageable with patch , then floors front and rear would be possible to a die hard jeep lover . My side panels were, too far gone , both floors toast . At least I’ve got a good cowl to attach new floors and side panels to . I just hope your chassis is still strong enough to repair . The engine crossmember looks wasted . There should be replacements available . I’m just dreaming up a repair as I would hate to see this Jeep die . I’m just passionate that way . I’d say your are to . A lot of folks would say to part it out . I say where there’s a will , there’s a way . Bottom line , you’ll decide where the future of this Jeep is . The chassis looks salvageable the tub might have half a chance with some love . Approach is key , restoration or repair . . I would say repair would get it looking not so bad . Can be done without spending what I did . A body tub is between $3000 - $4000 . Rather see it get sheet metal butt welded and flap disc sanded and looking good . I think the side panels have a chance but grinding and sanding will have the last word .The Jeep wants to live , but your it’s new owner . I respect that you keep it clean around your property and try very hard to coexist with the misses and the neighbors . I think that’s great . Wishing you luck and admiring your passion of cars , truck and all things that have a purpose . Glad I found your channel . Your passion and enthusiasm of machines is commendable . ❤️

Ok, let me know what you think. Put a whole new tub on, tidy up everything to make it safe. True dual exhaust is a must have! But best yet, there's a bull gear overdrive you can install on the transfer case! You take the PTO cover off, put in the OD kit, and it comes with it's own shifter. It will work in all 3 gears, giving you a 6 speed, or really a 3x2 transmission! Then just daily driver that baby into history!

Hello Chris, your videos are outstanding. I have enjoyed every one that I could find. The world is full of rude people. I say it’s your business . Do as you will. Keep up the great work. 😊

This thing is Beautiful!!! I am a chemical engineer but I was run over on my 1957 Harley Panhead right at the beginning of the beer bug outrage and it has taken until now to recover and learn how to walk again. I decided I want to change careers to mobile welder/Fabricator and machinist. I have been putting together a metal fabrication shop and it is going well. I found a 72 inch metal brake and a vintage 100 year old lathe.....get in touch if you ever want to come out near King of Prussia and make some body panels or something...

Yeah she sure is pretty! And damn, I'm sorry to hear about that. I hope recovery is going smooth and you work back to 100% That's awesome that you're doing a fabrication shop. I'm actually in Pennsylvania also. Whereabouts are you? I'm just north of Philadelphia. Sometimes I don't see the replies on here since it doesn't notify me. But shoot me an email sometime! It can be found in the about section of my channel page if you're on desktop

Isn't that Jeep just incredible. I love the DDT handle. I recall the days we mixed a bit with water in a squeegee bottle > Everyone gets out of the house and stayed out while one brave soul goes in and sprays from one distant corner all through the house up to the door. and recommences breathing after closing the door fully. We would return,( between twenty minutes to a couple of hours later ) to find no crawling creature nor winged bugger would be left alive to call it's cohorts. And we'd

This is one of my favorite videos on this channel. Really shows the inherent resilience of an old American automobile.
