It had recently developed a ticking from a hard year of drifting and high mileage. Thought I would give the stabilizer a try. THIS STUFF IS GREAT! I AM REVISING THIS YEARS LATER. PURCHASE BELOW. NO JOKE LOL. Thanks for watching, make sure to hit that thumbs up and subscribe.

@@GMC229 the lower viscosity synthetic stabilizers yes, I really don't recommend running the HD/HM stabilizer or Stop Leak in the winter unless the pure synthetic stabilizer isn't doing it for you, as they are much thicker than the Pure Synthetic Stabilizer and Low Viscosity Conditioner and will flow much worse, potentially putting extra strain on your oil pump or starving your valvetrain for longer than it would otherwise.

Had a tiburon with a massive tick because they never changed the oil. Added a whole bottle topped off with oil and no more tick. Lucas does work great. My tahoe had oil pump leak down. Full bottle of lucas and topped off with oil no more ticking at start up. Stuff works

Honestly in all my vehicles including my E46 M3 and E60 M5 I use Royal purple. I'd go with the HMX 10w30 or diesel weights 5w40 or 15w40. I promise you'll see a TREMENDOUS difference!

If you running l pure synthetic additives why is it so thick? Cold weather? I use this product in my Corvette every oil change and it's not thick at all. Just wondering.

1 quart of transmission fluid will get rid of your lifter noise. Run it for 1000 miles and then change oil. The detergents in transmission fluid will clean out the sticking lifters.
@prevost8686
@prevost8686 5 жыл бұрын
Not being argumentative but the idea that ATF is high in detergents is false. ATF has very little detergents in them because it doesn’t need it. It’s the combustion process in engines that create contamination. That’s why engine oils require detergents. Transmissions don’t need detergent additives because there’s no contamination from combustion. Used oil analysis will clearly show how much higher detergent levels engine oils have compared to ATF. We run oil analysis constantly on our engines and even the labs that do the analysis will tell you that ATF isn’t loaded with cleaning detergents. I’ve been an automotive repair shop owner for years and I’ve heard that wives tale for years but it just isn’t true. Don’t take my word for it. Send some ATF in for analysis and they’ll tell you the same thing if you ask them.

ATF works wonders. I would recommend; half a quart with new oil change. Run it couple hundred miles in order to build oil pressure. Drain it and add 4- 5 quarts what ever your oil capacity is. Run it on idle and idle only for about 20 minutes. Drain and replace with new oil and filter. Next oil change should be @ around 1000k.

how did it go, I used SuperTech Oil Stablizer in my 2001 Maxima. it seemed to get more power , hopefully it will help with the Rear main seal leak. and reduce oil consumption. using 10w30 and 1 qrt oil stablizer. . its now my son's car, on its last legs just trying to keep it going for a few more years. 19 years and 209K miles. rear main seal leak tranasmission issues P0744 TCC solenoid. but it got alot better with a transmission flush( drain 3 times with few thousand miles between each) , and I used Lucus transmissoin fix on first 2 drain fills, and 1k before last drain file used Seafoam transtune . and it got alot better, ATF used was Valvoline maxLife Full synthetic ATF (compatible with Nissan fluid) . on last drain fill did not add any additives, just 1 Gallon of ATF which is the amount what drained out.

Marvel Mystery is the way to go with that ticking. It is the hydraulic lifters, they get gummed up with age and take a while to fill up with oil when you start the engine or rev it. Marvel Mystery Oil will clean that up. Marvel recommends to replace up to 20% of your oil capacity with MMO and change the oil within 500-1000 miles for best cleaning. I personally just replace a quart of oil with a quart of MMO and my engines purr like kittens. I add MMO to gas too. I have a 30 gal tank, so I add a quart of MMO every fill up.

In my opinion you kind of brought that on yourself by running 15w40 oil... The way I see it is that these car manufactures spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to know what's the best oil to run in every car they build and or how it holds up under high temperatures. I just change my oul more often because of how hard I know I can be on my vehicles. Other then one number down for winter time and the other way up for summer. Just how I see it tho.
