I respect a man who is both honest and puts the well-being of his family first before his own career. With the money he'll be making now, if he plays his financial cards right, his family, his kids, and his grand-kids will be taken care of for life. That being said, I would love to see Oscar back in Europe and on the national team.

I respect his decision. Yes he did go for the money but why would anyone choose trophies over family. My family is from Brazil so I know what he feels like, growing up in a poor neighbourhood where murderers and thieves are common, especially in the favela.

As a Shanghai native I really thank him for joining SIPG, our foot ball level is no where near Europe, with likes of him playing in China really helps the growth of the sport... and honestly it's tough to watch SIPG play without him... Thank you Oscar!

Lets be honest most of you would leave your job if the competition offered you 3x of what you earn + there's no loyalty in football, teams get rid of players as soon as they find a better suitor and players ditch team when offered a better pay. Paulinho going to China is understandable because the football community thought he was finished after his little gig for Spurs. His performances for Barca are a result of the hardwork he put in while playing in a league with less talent around him. But players like Oscar, Axel Witsel and Hulk who had nothing to lose just went for the money. You earn Money as well as RESPECT if you play at Juve, Atleti, Inter or any other club Oscar mentioned in the video

I felt something while watching this. He told us so much and he is so honest about everything! Not just wealth, but the respect the Chinese given him. Technically speaking he did “sell out” but he has his reasons I suppose. Whether his statements are legitimate or not, he chose his path. I’m not all that interested to fact check, but if he’s telling the truth about doing it for his family it kinda sucks that he had to bare that burden. It’s definitely a career ending move. Even if he were to come back to Europe, he lost a lot of time with the big clubs and the national team. Again, just saying the situation sucks for him because he got a lot of hate for leaving Chelsea for China.

"I had to think of my family..." Lol that's too much...he was making £100k-150k/year at Chelsea for 4 years before he moved. With his sponsors and national team salary he was already set for life (Barring complete stupidity and fiscal irresponsibility, which moving to China and doubling your salary wouldn't fix).
