I, as a big fan of Shrewpaw, really hope that if or when Squirrelflight becomes leader, he gives her a life. Not that I ship it, I just know they were very good friends..

My only problem is that Squirrelflight might be crushed by her mate’s death. And she might become depressed and feel like there’s too much pressure on her. I love her but I don’t believe she’ll be able to lead without feeling harsh grief over Bramblestar.

I’m honestly just tired of leaders favoring kin or mates over everyone else. (which I guess is normal, but it gets so repetitive)

The last thing Windclan needs is Crowfeather as their leader. Nothing against Crowfeather (I rather love the guy) but I feel like realisticly it will be Bluestars annoying depression arc all over again. Plus Harestar is still relativly young and deserves a lot of developement

WARNING! I’m stating my opinion. I still think Ivypool should be Leader. Honestly even though Ivypool is Firestar’s great grand niece, Squirrelflight is Firestar’s daughter and we have a long history of Firestar’s Kin being in a high rank. And even though Squirrelflight has at least a little more backstory and personality than most of ThunderClan I think Ivypool should be the next Leader. Thank you for reading this ^w^

I'm not exactly into the idea of "Squirrelstar", but that's not the characters fault :0 I would just love to see more change in the series, a non-Firestar-related leader, more focus on the other clans, other stories! The audience is growing up alongside the books, but right now the stories are kind of.. lagging behind.

I had actually heard loads of rumours about Leafpool's death but I thought they were just fake. It would be sad to see her go, but in my opinion her death would give Squirrelflight time to shine. I am really looking forward to her super edition. I loved the intro to this video by the way.

Cinderheart needs to be leader, she quite underrated, but I love her so much, I love the fact she was base of cinderpelt ( my favourite medicine cat) and her character is amazing, she needs a se or a novella.

I think she should be! From her many losses, she would really deserve it and help the clan rebuild from Bramblestar's not-so-great leadership.

I would love Squirrelstar for leader, but in the past we have seen many characters destroyed by leadership. We lost so much personality lost from Firestar and Bramblestar after their naming ceremonies. The only Leader I can think of that has stayed interesting/kept their original sort of character are most evil leaders and Tallstar, and still he lacked so much of his original character. As much as Squirrelflight would make a fantastic leader, she might do a Onestar and completely change

Squirrelflight is awesome! She is a strong, caring cat who will make an amazing leader. I too am looking forwards to reading this book when it comes out.

Everyone in the comment section seems to want Ivypool or Hollyleaf as leaders and call Squirrelflight annoying. Really though? These both cats were moody and didn't control their decisions, they're both between the good and the evil, they're still a discourse. While Squirrelflight was never problematic. She has sass which some people call "annoying", I call it personality. Squirrelstar would be a much better leader than that sad man Bramblestar and two fan favorites who literally killed cats for their own emotional reasons.

The 3 major things I'm hoping to happen in the upcoming books: 1) Leafpool needs to die. I liked her as an apprentice, but she's become really annoying. Mothwing should also die a bit after her in my opinion, I absolutely love Mothwing but she's quite old and I think it'd be really sweet for them to be together in the afterlife. I know Mothwing doesn't believe in StarClan, but maybe she can visit Leafpool just like Jake visited Tallstar. 2) Brambleclaw dies, Squirrelflight becomes leader and Ivypool becomes deputy. I think Ivypool is the perfect leader, no need to say more. Even if something happens to Squirrelflight before she becomes leader, Ivypool needs to become deputy/ leader. 3) All of the super old cats need to DIE. ThunderClan is becoming overpopulated with old cats who should be either dead or elders. These cats include: Thornclaw Brightheart need to die. I don't think Thornclaw should retire as it's make his relationship with Blossomfall even weirder, since she'd still be a Warrior. I also think that Brightheart should just go to StarClan already and get rid of the wounds that have been haunting her for all her life. Brackenfur and Cloudtail should retire. They're both healthy and great warriors, but they're too old.

Your right, in the books it's honestly hard to tell if they actually love each other and want to be together, after Squirrel has kits of her own, their relationship is still so dull and hard to see that they have ANY affection for each other.

I'd like Squirrelflight to be leader but, I don't know if she'd be too depressed to fully be leader because she's known Brambleclaw her entire life and without him I think some of her spark would die with him. I don't know whether she'd put on a brave face or completely break, I could imagine a plot when after Brambleclaws death - say he was murdered, a freak accident or something or an incident in another Clans territory, she went crazy and became absolutely driven by vengeance. I don't know but I love both Squirrelflight, Leaf pool and Brambleclaw to pieces.

Just a question, why do people hate Squirrelflight?

Personally I don't like Squirrelflight, if I was to choose a strong female leader, I would choose Ivypool, or Hollyleaf if she was still alive

Honestly though, Squirrelflight needs a 500 page book just to develop her character. The jarring change of having a lot of personality to just being momcat in Po3, the writers need to step back and take a look at what she is.

Just a thought, what if squrrielflight's hope is about her and hollyleaf? Now this might just be my inner fangirl talking because squrrielflight and hollyleaf are my favorite characters, but with how shortly hollyleaf came back to the clan only to die in the next book I feel like there is still a lot of untapped emotional damage that needs to be healed. I know that fallen leaves helped her out and that holly forgave squrrielflight, but judgeing by how crazy holly went (going as far as killing a cat) I think theres somthing to explore there. I have no idea how they would do this,hollyleaf beeing dead after all, but I still love this idea!

To be honest, I hope she doesn't. I quite like her, but I think we've seen enough of her. I want someone else to be leader.

I don't think Squirrelflight should be leader, if she becomes leader, I don't think it'd go well. Considering Bramblestar is her mate, she'd likely be upset over his death. She's also kin to most of the high ranks, I have a feeling she'd favour the medicine cats opinion rather than listening to her deputy, warriors and elders. She has also shown a trait of putting her family before her clan. I personally think Cinderheart or Brackenfur would be better as leaders. I also think Firestar's CLOSE kin should just stop being high ranks in general, it's annoying and repetitive, I know Cinderheart and Brackenfur are his kin, but they're not close. Brackenfur and Cinderheart definitely have more opportunities with character development than Squirrelflight. I'm pretty sure Squirrelflight was confirmed to not live to be leader.

I really only see Lionblaze as a leader 😅 Squirrelflight doesnt have that dramatic backstory that every leader has PLUS I dont think the Erins would ever do that to their readers that Squirrelflight as a widow would lead a clan. Lionblaze would be really refreshing. He has the story - he is a half clan cat, his sister died like twice for him 😂 it almost felt like it. His brother is blind and he is the only one who understands what he is feeling. Lionblaze knows courage, pain and empathy. Although he has his hotheaddish moments. That would make him a great and also interesting leader. Or Ivypool... Although she is not my favourite cat in my opinion...

The only way two ways I could see she doesn’t become leader; She’s too old when Bramblestar finally dies, or she dies before him She’s too sad from Bramblstars death to become leader and appoints a deputy just before she leaves to become an elder.

I hate Squirrelflight. I feel like shes like... I don't know... a bit to perfect, maybe? Squirrelflight in my opinion is a character full of plot convenience. Why was Squirrelflight there with Leafpool when Leafpool had her kits? Plot convenience! Because the writing team probably knew the whole story wouldn't be as good if Ferncloud just took the three kits.
