Will Stamm oh wow! Well your videos are definitely rich in content and quality. However, this strikes me as a little odd because usually youtubers make money off their advertisements. Perhaps you break-even due to the cost of producing them. Either way man, I'm a loyal subscriber with the notification options on lol. looking forward to the next video

You are an awesome teacher man👍🏻. Thanks so much for making these videos. I have been barbering for almost 39 years and until now I have been doing fade haircuts without any knowledge of the how to use these guards. I have been watching your videos and practicing all your instructions and I am seeing that my fades are coming great now. Thank you so much for your kindness and talent sharing to all of us barbers . Best wishes to you and please continue such a great job you’re doing . Cheers👍🏻👏

You don't have to be a beginner to learn. I've been barbering for over 41 years. Only the last few years people started asking for haircuts by numbers. So I got the guards to perform to my customers likings. I only recently realized that some guards were preferred over others. I just use them as a reference point and then did the barbering. I did not pay close attention to the numbers of different brands. I did kinda figured out by eyeballing, the relationship between guard sizes and blade sizes. This tutorial takes a lot of the guess work out of it and breaks down the numbering to measurements. This is not the first time that I have been impressed by you young man. My first time seeing one your tutorials I immediately subscribed and liked!

Will, it’s funny, I just realized a lot of this last month, but you laying it out like that made it real solid. Especially with your diagram. I studied them after I realized the speedos have more teeth, I hate how the wahl 1 1/2 has about 6 teeth. I thought about switching over to the speedos for that reason, but then I realized the speedos have no #1.

Hi one question, do if I open the lever all the way on the 1/16 GUARD will it fade into the 1 GUARD CLOSED? Or will it be longer then the 1 GUARD CLOSED?
@piyaguerrero24946 жыл бұрын
Depends on the initial guideline, did you use a trimmer or just no guard? But to answer your question generally fading with the 1/16 guard, the lever should be in between half way. Also depends on hair texture.

Will, I use the Andis bgr+ and the masters on a daily basis. Sometimes when a customer has long hair on top and they say they want it an inch on top, I stutter a little bit trying to figure out which guard to use and just end up using the largest guard to be safe and then working my way down. I have noticed the purple guards for the masters are slightly off in measurement from the metal detachable blades and give a "softer" cut......mostly I take the purple magnet guard and skim it on the customers hair to see how much hair it will take off lol.....any advice u can give me?
