Probably the best thing- especially for wedding photographers who shoots 1000's of photos on average. Filterpixel is the best way to dial it down to few top hundreds.

Software like this is a godsend to me. While editing is my favorite process, I realized after starting to do weddings and longer shoots, that I only enjoy fully editing 3-5 images heavily. After that I'm burnt out. Being able to use AI to cull and edit my photos to where I only need to make minor adjustments is an extremely small price to pay for the time I gain back. Time is a currency we can only deposit. I want as much of it as I can to spend on myself and the things I love, which means anything that doesn't involve culling or editing 3-5K photos every week hahaha. Invest your time in yourselves, people! Let technology handle the time consuming things!

FilterPixel solved all problems for me. I love it, and would NEVER go back to manual culling. Easy to use, I have full control over the process, and transfers everything to an allocated folder. Which is super helpful when your organisation skills are zero to none like mine. Love that I can process all of them straight in lightroom. My clients are super happy as well. :)

I started using culling software a few months ago and loooooove it. I remember all too frequently falling asleep (literally) while culling. I hate it so much. 10/10 highly recommend!

This is another one of those "I can't really decide" issues. I love the concept of cutting down workflow time to focus (no pun intended) on more gigs. But I still have that nagging voice that doesn't want to relinquish control of which images to choose when culling.

@@VanessaJoy works really well. The founder is really open to feedback and as an early user of FP, he's made a lot of changes based on my input so you could say FP really works for my workflow

I do a lot of sports photography as a hobby, especially for my kids, and take about 1500 shots per event or so. The culling process is so painful and least enjoyable part of the workflow. This looked cool but it seems more geared towards wedding photography type of events.

I wonder if this would work with wildlife also? I did a quick three day trip in the beginning of June and ended up with 9300 images to go through, it took forever.

culling ai software are bs. it takes less time doing it my self. i tried aftershoot. just to analyze and process some 1200 photos took around 20 minutes. after that a had to look at all the photos selected by the software to make sure it did a good job. so wat is the point? the best solution for me now is bridge that is fast enough and photomechanic (my favourite for now) that is blazing fast! it took me only 15 minutes to cull 1200 photos manually. do the test yourself. don't get fooled by these very well crafted advertisiment.

Yeah I’m not a fan either, this one does a good job and a lot of ppl love it, but no Ai culling is there yet, especially for weddings IMO.

@@TC_Conner for 2 years I’ve tried, worked with the developers, ive got the all the new beta updates etc, i know what it misses, so much so that i can adjust my workflow around it. But it misses crucial things consistently… first looks, anything where bride and groom are not looking at the camera (intimate photos, dances, etc), and differentiating between different bridal party shots. It does a good job on still lifes, family, and reception dance floor photos

This is clearly a paid promotion, I've never seen any software solution that didn't have pro's & con's. This is basically a 5 minute commercial for filterpixel, no con's, no criticisms, not even anything about expense, wow the world's first perfect software solution for photographers. An honest review would be nice.

Yes it’s paid and that’s why it’s marked as such. But it’s a paid overview, with my two cents about it, not really a “review”. I’m not into pros and cons list and honestly I didn’t really see many cons with this that were relevant (meaning the con for me is I pay people to do all of my culling and editing for me so any time spent is too much time for me, but that’s irrelevant to an overview video, and not to say that those I pay to cull for me wouldn’t benefit from this). If there’s some huge con, I don’t see it, aside from what I mentioned that it could potentially be taking jobs from photo editors. If you find a con. Good for you. It’s subjective. Nothing dishonest here.

I don't trust it. I do my own culling always. No matter how long it takes. I haven't even gone mirrorless because too much of the camera is doing the work for you. It only makes sense if you are running a business but it takes away from the fun and sense of achievement.

I can absolutely hear what you’re saying about it potentially taking away the fun and achievement. Unfortunately, like you also said, I have to run a business and some that means doing things that make the business run more efficiently even if I find certain tasks fun for me to do personally. For me, I have an edited a single photo of mine that I didn’t want to in over a decade. I pay people to edit my photos for me unless it’s the favorite photos that I select an edit on my phone the night of the wedding. That fulfills the creative and sense of achievement side of things for me ☺️

@@VanessaJoy This is one reason I found the jump from hobby to business so difficult and my business has pretty much failed. I decided in my head that I don't want to give up the pleasure of it, and doing it for myself with my style is why I do it. If I had the mirrorless systems when I started out plus software like this then it might have been a different story as you are definitely right in how time consuming it is. And of course time is money. In the end I found it easier to get a regular job to pay the bills and do photography as a hobby again. Especially as the world and his dog seem to be doing weddings now.

To be clear there is NOTHING wrong with taking any sponsorships but if you're getting paid to reccomend something to your viewers it comes off as dishonest if you don't mention its a paid sponsorship.
