It’s extremely difficult to find a duet partner you pair well with; for instance, Emmylou Harris was so heartbroken when Gram Parsons died in 1973, Gram searched for Emmylou and they were so in sync, but she found Rodney Crowell to duet with her, and then Vince Gill, both excellent harmony partners. Rodney and Emmylou proceeded with their musical careers, but returned to Duet on Old Yellow Moon and Traveling Kind. I know his dad, Rodney Tongi is smiling down on Iam and I am blown away by Iam’s heart and sweet soul, which he so generously shared with all of us viewers of AI, I don’t like the “Idol” part of the name of this TV singing competition, just the name of show made me not watch until 2018, I’m so grateful for Rodney’s singing!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Hearing Iam singing with his dad, is something special. For those of us who ended up here after his idol audition, and to know hear how great the duo are collectively, is both hard and good, at the same time. Hard because Iam is beginning his career, without the man who inspired him. But Good because his career is on its way. I think there could possibly be many people who feel the same, that, we would have loved and wanted to hear them continue to work together as his career unfolds but also knowing that God's Will and plan is perfect, and it will workout exactly the way it is suppose to.
