Maestro, I've been listening to your Liszt and appreciating it deeply. And now you turn out to have played my favorite piece, too. :)

Came in here thinking what's the point. Have recently listened to Horowitz and Sultanov play this, both spectacular. This stands up very well. Over the top late-romantic excess, with plenty of piano fireworks, comes across very well, and better recorded than either of the above. Listen.
