As someone who grew up on a greek, specifically Cretan diet, this is to entertaining to watch! You don't crave certain 'unhealthy' foods if you are not used to it, so it's easy to feel full and satisfied on a very natural diet. In crete I ate a lot of baked stuffed vegetables, like tomatoes or Zucchini flower, there is always a greek or cretan salad on the table, potato dishes are a very big part of my diet, for example briam/bureki, or just simple oven potatoes with lemon and herbs. Good quality olive oil and herbs are so important to make all these dishes taste amazing. Fruit or greek yoghurt with honey and fruit are my normal snacks, especially in the summer when it's really hot. It's easy to eat like that because the ingredients are easy to get and not very expensive. I think what also makes meals more satisfying is, that there are always a few dishes on the table, or at least a main dish and a salad with dakos/bread

I eat fruit as meals in summer. No cravings between meals. I recently got some free (sell date) organic ice-cream. Sooooooo extremely sweet. When you're used to eating true food, all the added junk is just disgusting. What he eats here, was just normal food I used to eat beforehand. Now I'm way beyond eating grains with meat. Food combining is also important! Starches don't digest with protein.

Very limited options at groceries stores and nearly 0 snacks available at any convenience store/gas stations. But the difference in lifestyle, from gut health to mental health + better physical appearance, you really realize how much all the chemicals affect you. I’m glad to see you shade light on this topic. The journey is long but you can whip up some yummy foods in your own kitchen 🙏🏽

Things like energy drinks, protein bars, pre-made frozen meals & pre-made snacks, any take-out, and drinks (sodas, juices, coffee drinks, etc) are all the no-no's of the highly processed foods. But eggs are still a whole food even if you get the cheaper ones. Herbs & spices go a long way in making everything taste better--I eat plenty of hot sauce. Dried fruit is a great snack, and good addition to salads and home-made granola. Quality aged cheese is another great addition. Try Walmart's specialty cheese section for good prices on European aged cheddars. Everything you were doing was great, but I would just add more! Like a light dessert (like dark chocolate) or fruit after dinner so you feel more satisfied. Your headaches and low energy were likely from your blood sugar dipping if you're used to consuming more sugar & carbs. You would acclimate to that. Also make sure you're adding enough salt to your food so your blood pressure doesn't dip. I'm a first time viewer! Nice vid 👌

Snacks: popcorn you pop at home, roasted chickpeas (you just add seasoning and oil), carrots and Greek yogurt with ranch seasoning, air fry some sweet potatoes or potatoes for fries, cottage cheese, clementines. I feel like those are pretty natural/minimally processed snacks. Edit: some gas stations carry hard boiled eggs! Those are a lifesaver for me on trips. That and cheese sticks. A good quick whole food snack is popcorn! Just buy the single-ingredient un-popped kernels, throw ~2 tbsp in a large bowl with a small amount of oil, cover and microwave until popped. Add your choice of toppings (salt, cayenne, pepper, nutritional yeast, etc). Unprocessed popcorn is pretty healthy: whole food, 100% whole grain, high fiber, high volume, low calorie. separately, the "blue zone" diets typically have very little red meat with small amounts of dairy, eggs, and fish. They get protein more by mixing beans with grains. Of course, Will's diet test still fits as a healthy whole-food option, just not so much a "blue zone" diet.

The Blue Zones aren't primarily about "all-natural" or "organic" foods. They are about whole foods (i.e. unprocessed/minimally processed foods). Fruits, vegetables, legumes, nuts, limited minimally processed animal products, etc. Just a couple of years ago, I had to live on no more than $35/week for food. I was able to eat nearly 100% Blue Zones friendly. Sweet potatoes, spinach, broccoli, apples, eggs, etc. What you can't do cheaply is buy *convenient* whole foods--as in minimally processed and or packaged to be as quick and/or portable as possible. Try keeping nuts and dried fruit on hand for when you're hungry - literally a handful can fill me up if I'm starving and can't eat right then. Would especially recommend pecans and medjool dates together. Just open up a date and shove some pecans in, its super tasty! you can even cover them in dark, salted chocolate and freeze them for a really delicious snack - the sugars in the dates won't let it freeze properly so they end up sticky and chewy in an amazing way

I think this way of eating is easier if you have a small homestead (garden, a few chickens, access to raw milk). I grew up making our own bread, yogurt, and cheese, butchering and processing our own animals and preserving what we got out of the garden/from neighboring farms. I still do most of those things. However, for someone who is used to buying everything from whole foods, this has to be hard and very expensive. Might I recommend getting your meat from a butcher shop or eggs from local people who sell eggs. Also, I was eating a bowl of berries and some pecans while you were trying to figure out a snack. I wish I could have just poked you through the screen to give you that idea🤭

There is a reason the poor are fat and the affluent are slim. We walk the same streets, but we live in two different cultures. Different food, different music, different stories. I don't crave junk food, nor do I crave pop music and blockbuster movies. All those feel boring, reptilian brain pleasure instead of neocortex subtle mixtures of sensations. The skin and mood/satiety you felt aligns with that the science points to. The headaches were definitely withdrawals from supplements or caffeine. I however think that yogurt and cheese, etc, are also very natural and part of a well balanced diet. You nailed it on the head with reference to increased fiber and fat tho. In sports nutrition they made an analogy; the fat is the candle and the wick is the carbs….you need fat with carbs to maintain exertion. Of course the protein is important but if you have the infrastructure without the means, doesn’t matter. Great video

@@kinggrimm4338 I don't think you know what you are talking about. First of all, there's many ways to skin a cat if you want to diet but if we are talking about the healthiest diet by scientific research then it's still the Mediterranean diet. I have nothing against keto, it's what has helped me lose a lot of weight. But I suggest you don't get your diet information from one source of truth. Read scientific research papers and metastudies across different diets, and look at the picture in its entirety. Anyway, the word processed is misunderstood and mistakenly feared. All food except raw food is processed, it's the ultra-processing where things start to go wrong and nutrition vanishes. And while keto is a great way to lose weight, you can live just as healthy with eating some fruits too. Humans and animals have a sweet tooth because it's how we evolved to easily find vitamin C and other vitamins and minerals. And while it's true that we can get almost everything from an animals, if we eat it in its entirety. It's also true that fruits and vegetables were important to give balance and more easily get those vitamins and minerals. As a last note, always avoid any advise that gives you "a one truth", because they are talking shit and they are probably trying to sell you something.

Some of what they are saying is not scientifically backed up. And no, the scientific community isn't trying to hide some "truth" carnivores think they have revealed. I recommend watching some of Peter Attia's videos and the guests he talks with, about health based things and obviosly in addition you should read the science, because KZfaq videos aren't the best source of truth since they aren't primary sources.

It's not that in Ukraine we don't have this addition in food or junk food or don't have issues in diet (like higher usage of fat), but there are so many choices in normal grocery stores. It's all about balance. Eat most of your calories from whole foods and then treat yourself to man-made food marvels/franken-food on the side. The dose makes the poison. Do all this and keep an active lifestyle and try to cut down or deal with stress in a positive healthy way and you're golden!

Will you inspired me. You changed my life I was 40 pounds over weight. I lost it in 3 months and put on 6 pounds of muscle. Hired a trainer and nutricionist. I want to give it a year until I'm some where near your fitness level. You changed my life dude THANK YOU!

Nah we need an IN DEPTH routine or diet sheet for this because this looks NICE. Went no alcohol this year and have felt better with lifts, definitely going to incorporate this into the lifestyle SOON
