Big waste of washers . I put those on my M38 almost 25 years ago . if you remove the plate from the wiper the bushing slides off with the plate , just cut it with a hacksaw or Dremel cut off wheel , slide it back over the shaft and cut that 1" after the bushing . Makes a lot cleaner install .
