I think part of the show dynamic is about that House subtly influences everyone around him to think more like he does. The drama unfolds when different characters have different responses to realising that they're acting like House would. Some were proud. Some were ashamed. Some were resentful. I think Wilson was grieving because of it. He went through basically all 5 stages throughout the show - denying he was anything like House, getting angry that House influenced his thinking, making deals with Cuddy to try to curb House's influence, isolating himself from House to keep himself safe, eventually accepting that he is more like House than he wanted to admit... Denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance.

Yeah you are right. Most friends would have left, kicked his ass, or killed him. Remember had House not been trashed AGAIN Amber wouldn't have gotten on that bus and would not have died. I mean House didn't kill Amber but his lack of any respect caused her to be killed. Either way not many guys could or would forgive that.

Well his is an acclaimed theatre actor and won a Tony award for a play he was in. So glad his role on House got to show or remind us how good he is....and working with Hugh Laurie was another reason too. It was an odd choice of actor pairings that worked even better than anyone would have thought. Such a natural chemistry. Not a friendship of characters in the normal sense, but an ever evolving relationship that brought out both the best and worst in each other. And yet, still true friends til the end.

It's House's smile as it dawns on him. Wilson is the only one he would almost call "equal." House actually respects him, unlike everyone else. It's why Wilson is his only truly healthy-ish relationship, and the only one he will give up everything for.

I can relate to Wilson. I have a terminal illness. Not as fast acting as cancer but drowning in your own lungs is not a end to look forward to. My Mom passed away in my arms in ICU. So being out wanting to enjoy life, whatever is left of it only to have a stark reminder HEY SOON YOU'LL BE DEAD. IT SUCKS!! It hurts. It's very lonely.

Every one of the original "Super Six" doctors had a health issue involving his/her own specialty. House (nephrologist) couldn't pee, Foreman (neurologist) had brain surgery; Cameron (immunologist) had an HIV scare; Cuddy (endocrinologist) had hormone issues (couldn't get pregnant) and Chase (intensivist/surgeon) got stabbed and ended up in ICU and needed surgery.

Season six we saw so many sides of Wilson and House’s relationship. It was great to see House clean for so long and their screwing with each other was at its peak. Always will be my favourite season.
