Wim hof. I work in a lumber mill and I use your breathing methods while I’m working and my flow is life changing and my mood. I move with grace and passion I don’t feel like I am slaving away I feel I am constantly training to be better. It’s over 100 degrees in the warehouse but your methods push me through with ease. There are good days and bad days but I am able to reflect and move forward always ❤️

I envy you! The traffic outside wakes me up quite often, even with my window shut, because I'm next to an A road. It's been even worse recently because they've been working on the motorway and big trucks have been diverted past my house at all hours of the night. I wish I weren't so sensitive to noise :(

I had a lucid dream where I was sat next to Wim and we simultaneously said the word 'vicariously'. Being inspired by people is different to living through other people's achievements, although I think Wim is a genuine 'hero' for his many world records, it's his personal vibe, full of joy, that is testimony to the efficacy of his method. 'This shit works!'

Psychologists discovered as far back as the nineties that the 90-minute dream cycle continues while you are awake. Daydreaming activity peaks every 90 minutes, on the same cycle as nighttime dreaming. The way to determine your cycle is to log the times when you wake up from a dream. Those are your peaks. Also, make a note of the times when you find yourself "waking up" from a spontaneous daydream during the day. I wish I could remember the name of the book; it's buried somewhere deep in my storage.

I recently started watching you Me. Hof, and you’re like a “breath” of fresh air hehe. I know you had your fair share of stress and grief in your life. My question is, aside from cold showers and breathing techniques, how would you /did you deal with grief? I just lost my dog and I’m full of guilt, emptiness and loneliness. I’m glad my family is alive, and thankful I never had to grief a person too close to me so far, but losing my dog for me is already terrible as it is. It dominates emotional and physical self and it’s hard to focus on anything else 😢

Hello Wim, Question: I have old injuries in my hips, groin area from playing ball. I use your stretch to open these areas up. It has helped a bunch. I want to know more about when it maybe best to do these stretches? My best sequence is to breathe, then meditate, then my push ups, then stretch, I love to then turn to cold. On my good energy days I start with cold just to get blood flowing and center up first. I have done your training basic qnd this August I am going to my first training with MidWest in Ohio. I can not wait to be an instructor one day soon and meet you in person to do instructor training. I hope your doing well and staying healthy, strong and happy. Can you give me more insight into balance hold. So I can add this to my workout with more intention. My head stands are on hold until I light up my load ;) a bit more. 200lbs is my goal. Fall injuries to my spine keep me apprehensive to loading my neck. Head first impact onto slab concrete 30 years ago.

I do long-distance walking projects months in a row, always wildcamping etc....if cold I start singing. If very hot as well. Just try it out yourself, as it works. I do WHM for four years. Cheers from Holland

QUESTION: What recommendations do you have for people living in a desert during the summer with rare access to cold water? 🌞🌻🐝 Edit: Thanks for the great suggestions everyone! I live off-grid & don't have enough electrical to run a big freezer. Nor do I think it would be environmentally sound to do so if I were on-grid.

I have read that many people convert a chest freezer into a permanent ice bath.

Chest freezer ice bath. Get a freezer large enough to fit your body in, seal it with marine grade silicon well around all corners. Plug that baby in and wait a day. Unplug and have your ice bath. It’s a good idea to use hydrogen peroxide to keep it clean. There are lots of videos on it

Freeze a lot of ice in the freezer and buy an inflatable tub to lie in. If u have a lot of money u can follow the above poster's advice but this worked for me and was cheap 👍.

Hi Wim I've been doing the breathing & cold showers since 1st November last year. I started this to deal with stress and its working. However, I can't get my son who suffers from depression to believe in this. The depression is ruining his life but he insists people should not have to do your methods to feel better. The doctors have him believing in medicine. Maybe now you can see why I'm stressed. My son has tried to take his own life twice and has been in and out of Hospital for the past 4 years. I believe your techniques will cure his disorder. My son won't take my advice & this is hurting me so much having to watch his endless cycle. WTF can I do ? Any suggestions ?

I’m not Wim, but the way I have been approaching it is to say “I can spend ten minutes telling you about it or you can take ten minutes and feel for yourself.” This is working for me so far, coupled with genuine enthusiasm for this gift from nature courtesy of Mr. Hof🌲💜 Much love unto you and your son🙏🏻

Hi I'm really sorry you are going through this. My opinion is that he will feel more isolated from you if you keep telling him he should do this or that because it will make him think that he is doing something wrong or there is something wrong with him. If he is depressed or suicidal it is best to not make him feel this way at all. It must hurt a lot for you and you want to help him desperately but... breathing techniques and cold showers are healthy but Wim Hof method mostly works if you believe in it, and unfortunately some people will never believe in it, and you have to accept that. It does Not help if you just keep telling him about the benefits, trust me. There is one thing you can do for him, it is to be there for him and support him no matter what his decisions and really listen to him deeply and accept him for who he is at this moment in time. Most of us want love, support and acceptance, NOT advice. Receiving advice left right and centre can push someone into suicide, because they feel that all people care about is a "healthy" version of them and no one accepts or loves the messed up version, so they think they may as well stop existing. Yes it may sound like a strange way of thinking but their brain has become wired to make them think like that. Instead of thinking about how to convince him about a specific method, I would start thinking about how much love you can help him feel. If you keep pushing your own view about what will help him it will only push him away. Your unconditional support and acceptance is the only thing that you can do to, and the rest is up to him. Please support him but do not try to control him. You can always support, but to control is impossible and toxic, so I would try to be mindful of the difference. Please also take care of yourself and practice self-compassion, your own mental well-being is important to have the capacity of acceptance and love for others too. You clearly care for your son so you have more than enough capacity for it. I am Sending you and your son love and prayers.

Thank you Wim. I have a friend 73 years old, he is still very active and does more than most 40 year olds. Works on vehecles, crawls all around them, gets the job done. Also rides motorcycles. Unfortunately he has smoked cigarettes for many decades and has emphysema. He has tried to quit but the craving is too strong for him. Are his lungs too far gone or would something like this help?

I worship Wim like an ancestral figure but man be careful. Wim Hof Method is known to cause tinnitus. You might worsen your problem. The best thing to do is try yourself though. Test it. If it gets worse you can just quit. Wish you the best.
