Claus - thank you for reminding us about how premium ammo used to work. For the first few years of WoT you traded alpha for increased pen when using premium ammo. Gold ammo was not a pay to win all around solution. Back then premium tanks were treated similarly. They were not all around pay to win solutions that were better than the tech tree version of the same tank family. You traded alpha for increased credit making and increased crew XP. They were intended to be crew trainers and credit makers not super tanks. One other thing you might recall. Do you remember that "back when" your post game stats showed how many trees you knocked down during the battle? It was a reminder that arty was watching for felled trees.

My 7/1 has the world war one crew from that early wheeled vehicle event they ran in which you escorted that big tank across a battlefield

The main reason they nurfed HE was to make sure players fired Premuim ammo to increase profit margins.

I could be wrong because it's been ages since I played WOT but I think the ''critical hit'' occurs whenever you damage a component of the enemy tank or injure a crew member, something that is extremely common with explosive ammo.

I loved my Cent 7/1. I even preferred it over the Tier 10 (even after the buffs). Perfectly balanced tank and the only shells I used 99.99% of time were the regular APCR & HE for very light skinned targets. It was the first tank I marked - 31 Dec 2021

08:50 ... that experimental unit he's running is a combined Turbocharger and Improved Rotation Mechanism. It's a combination of both, but you don't get the full bonuses of each individual unit (so instead of +12.5% for bounty, a stage 2 experimental is +8% turbo/+6 rotation).

17:10 ... he loads out AP but doesn't use it. For going up against a tank you know is most likely going to be waiting for you, sacrifice some of the damage and switch to a higher pen, especially with as many non-pens as he had through this battle.

Nerfing tanks, nerfing accuracy, nerfing camo values, deforrestation of maps, more and more corridor maps, more and more better and better premium tanks, more and more ways to get higher tier tanks way to quickly, nerfing high explosive rounds, field modifications, changing crew capabilities, "screen not hit" (whatever that means...), it all changed from a great game into a giant dumpster fire, only good for making WG as much money as possible.

If you read the chat he says “Wtf?” Then “I bloq this map” It took me a while to realise that when I blocked maps it didn’t block encounter or assault mode.

They nerfed the HE after a meta of spamming it in the 60tp got popular, it would always deal a bunch and so they nerfed not the one problematic tank but the entire shell type

Anytime i got hit in a Centurion it was almost always an ammo rack

The stupidity of duh buh yuh gee is boundless. The NA server shrank from 2 or 3 servers to 1. The NA player base was ~29K when I started playing now it's...9-12K. The NA CC program is DOA. They still act like the "heads I win tails you lose" strategy is viable.

True and sad about this HE and HESH Shells, some times you shoot and don't PEN and Roll for 20-30 DMG but you do a critical hit and kill the driver or gunner etc (by the way; thay say also "critical hit" for crew injury or module damage)...How is this posible if your shoot DIDN'T PEN ???!!! :/ :/ :/ GG Claus ! im not the worst player by any means, but your title caught my eye. i play a lot and do have decent battles even with premium i still struggle to gain credits i use premium tier 8 tanks have a good battle with over 3 or 4k dmg and or spotting yet still have issues getting credits. find myself buying gold to get more credits so i can play more.. this game never used to be this bad. and using gold rounds only costs more . :( really takes the fun out of playing .

I'm pretty sure the HE/Hesh went to Hell about the time they took out the GIANT Nerf Bat and Beat the hell out of Arty several times.. I like my 7/1, just reload and sluggishness of tank is brutal at times. Just have to know it's slow and you can't really brawl with other meds as your reload is just horrible. They really need to buff all the old tanks in this game. But I guess they want everyone to buy premium tanks.

HE is so weak now that my lkv 103 can't kill medium tanks, despite firing heat with 120-140 pen.

do you not understand what Critical hit means? it means some piece of equipment on the tank was hit, like the engine, transmission, view port, fuel tank, etc, etc. and those equipment are located in different places on different tanks!! Critical hit does not mean Miss! DOH!

"Critical Hit" was one of the worst game mechanics I've ever seen in a game. I hated getting them. This game is all about the number of guns on either side and how much damage those guns can do. Critical hits do zero damage. I can't tell you the number of times I was killed by tanks that I scored critical hits on. And a critical hit should be just that. Damage plus some special debuff. Just another way that Wargaming used to troll the player base and claim that things are "random". I wonder if anyone has done an analysis on how many critical hits have been scored against Russian vehicles. Yuri...we need to provide better protection to our glorious armored tanks. Da...I have just the thing, when the other tanks hit, we'll just call it critical and reduce damage to zero. Is balanced.

I have played this game for many years and lately its imposible to play because so many cheaters that wargaming allow them to get away with those mods, many times happen that they freeze my tank and finish me and nothing I can do.

This game has been deleted off my PCPC version of this sucks after eight years just like Justin Trudeau it’s gotten worse console version at least you win a new tank every week and get free gold

These bastards have a modified mod for promotions to see they are still in the top ranks, what he shoots is a hit!! if a tank hits him.. then a rebound... I guarantee that you won't have it that way!! and it will be the opposite on mil. % and besides... don't buy premium or premium tanks!!! it's useless anyway, the server determines the damage,,..determines victory and defeat .. If you upload min Damage to the opponent, the server will automatically flip and give Victory/ if High damage to the opponent - it is automatically Defeat.. You have a tank of 8 levels and you are approximately at the bottom of the team or on the bottom team composition, stacked from level 10 = It's automatically a win because you have no chance to shoot down Level 10 that is: min. damage = victory.!!! If you are on the highest rungs in the lineup, e.g. team level 8 to level 6 , Automatically = high damage to the opponent and you automatically = Defeat!! Server. BLOCKS....visibility, enemy detections, opponent damage, you can just do whatever you want :D !! it's wasted money!! You actually have more losses than wins in the game!! Ask yourself another question.. how many times have you recorded what you see here? (it's easy to play if you're an admin with a good game mode!), and this thieving company gives replays like this every day ... they're just lying to you and fooling you it's a great game, waiting for you to adjust the game mode to the minimum so that you can put real money into it!! That's why I stopped supporting wg an playing this game, instead of nerfing gold ammo reducing It's damage while getting more pen they nerfed HE effectively killing fun tanks like KV2, Sherman,hetzer or PZIV. Not only that but further nerfed tank i loved playing PROG 65 making all the time I've spend grinding It wasted, add rigged rng and mm and conclusion can only be one, don't pay them any money!
