I just picked up the mossy oak 3 in SXP yesterday afternoon, I’ve shot them before and was happy with its performance, great review . I feel any gun be it a shotgun , bolt action pistol etc is a tool . When I purchase any “tools” I look for quality, reliability and durability. Myself I don’t mind my “tools” to get a little scratched or dinged up , to me it’s the battle scars or signs of a job well done . Keep up the exceptional work . Cheers 🇨🇦

Your shotgun looks in great condition at 10 years old. The camo looks brand new. I have the SXP Universal Hunter in camo, drilled and tapped for a scope mount/red dot from the factory.

The video hides lots of sins! I do treat my firearms like my kids though so that helps 😝. If you look at the bottom of the pistol grip you can see where it's starting to peal a bit.

$189 Stevens 320, $229 Maverick 88, $275 SXP shadow defender after rebate, which one would you recommend for home security? I couldn’t find any rebates for savage Steven and Maverick, however, Winchester does provide a good amount of rebate which is a plus

I picked one up for a friend's daughter. Only problem was shells kinda hard to load in tube, especially last one.

You may have already done this, but if she's not hunting with it she could take the plug out to reduce the spring tension a bit. Depending on the laws in your area of course 🙂.

@@ShotgunJay94 yes, that was the first thing I did. Might could have used some polishing up.

They are mass produced too, so I'm sure that they have the occasional flaw. Thanks for watching my friend 🙂

Im thinking of ordering one from cabelas, however i heard that the throad of the shotgun easily cracks, i heard that the magazine tube comes loose, i heard that the front fluorescent beed is not svrewed on and can easily fall off, i also heard that anywhere you aim the firearm and pull the trigger the pellets will go 1 foot and a 1/2 above what you're aiming at.

I can only speak from my experience. I have owned many sxp's over the last decade and they haven't skipped a beat. As far as shot patterns go that's more to do with the load and shot size ive come to find in my experience. Example, lead patterns better than Steel. Bismuth/tungsten patterns better than both Steel and lead. Also the appropriate choke tube for range and shot size is absolutely necessary. When it comes to the front sight, I always take them out from new and put a small dab of low strength loctite on the threads. No matter the brand. I have lost front sights on a couple guns before but never a winchester coincidentally. Thats why I started this practice. I'm not sure about the mag tubes, I havnt personally experienced anything! Thanks for you're interest in my video my friend! Good luck with whatever shotgun you decide to go with 🙂.
