if i press f8 advance boot didnt come out instead there are 2 selections P1: WDC.... and enter setup. if i select P1 it will logout and then if i select enter setup there are so many i selected the boot menu (F8) but it will just logout and failed to login again. I hope you'll reply thanks

I tried to change windows10 default font by some KZfaq turiotals (creating .reg file) after restart to apply changes my pc got stuck at lock screen. I can't enter login screen. I tried to boot my pc in safe mode and recovery screen flashed showing system registry file missing,error code 0xc00000e9,press f8 for startup settings. Now by pressing f8 nothing happens no startup settings . What to do now?

Replying to @@soviet5655. The problem is solved 👑 I'm not sure what type does "motherboard page"... Maybe if you go to BIOS and disable the start up splash screen to check where it actually stuck in. Sound like a HDD detection issue to me.

In this video the computer is just directed to another hard drive and boot from there. If you want to protect your personal files than disconnect your data drive (pull out the power or data cable) and than repair or reinstall Windows on the SSD. its same problem with my laptop after im cloning my hdd to ssd, and what do i do is press enter (os selection) then there's gonna show you 3 option in the bottom, enter=choose, tab=menu and esc=cancel. then i press esc and the windows gonna let u choose which drive u want to boot, choose ur main drive (the ssd or hdd). But the problem is i always do this manually .. then booting like usually

Exactly in this case the PC accidentally was set to start from another unwanted hard drive, and the partition where Windows was installed was intact. - Try to repair Windows using a Windows DVD or USB flash drive ► kzfaq.info/get/bejne/a85iotJ_mK_TkqM.html - Or install a new Windows onto the same partition ► kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aNGcdrOa2NSqZHk.html If you don't format or delete any partitions while installing a new Windows than your personal files should not be erased!

Maybe it wasn't turned OFF correctly. Always turn it OFF using the Shut Down command from the Start menu.

No, theoretically it should not delete anything, BIOS just tries to boot an operating system from another hard drive.

Hi, At the blue screen,if someone has option for advanced settings (F8) click that.Then choose the option to boot into safe mode (F4). If your PC boots succesfully, simply shut down and turn it on again from the button. This helped me and I hope it helps you too :D

I haven't the following myself but, to enter BIOS try this: -shut down Windows -tap ESCAPE a few times to access the Start-up Menu -select the Bios option (F10)

Maybe it tries to boot from there and is nowhere to be found... Try to set drive detection to automatic in BIOS, disable some quick booting option which can disable drive detection to speed up booting.

Okay my fix was: I used chkdsk on c: everything fine I decide out of curiosity to check d and e as I have 2 storage drives other than my boot drive, I'm told that e: is corrupt I'm also told e: is the boot drive according to CMD? I run chkdsk e: /r Repairs it, boots into windows, all personal files unaffected I hope this can help someone in the same situation as me

I just put a brand new 2 gig hard drive in my computer and it also says hard drive error. . what would cause a computer to work normal then get a hard drive error so I replace it with a new upgraded hard drive and it still gets an error message and will not boot up, , I do not have windows installed yet because it is a brand new hard drive. what would cause a brand new hard drive to get an error message?

Blow out the dust from the power and data cable's plug, try another Serial ATA port, try another power/data cable, Reset BIOS to default settings. Enable SMART in BIOS to report hard drive errors.

@@furulevi that sounds like some useful advice , but yesterday I placed my order for a new computer. I caved lol .... but what you said sounds like it could possibly work , because the inside of the whole computer area is very very dusty, looks like it had never been cleaned since 2012 I'm not real knowledgeable on what a serial Port is , and the power supply you're talking about is the black cord that plugs into the wall? and I'm assuming you mean inside the computer that power area where the cord plugs into to blow that area out? .... there's 2 harnesses that go to the hard drive, the little skinny one I took out and replaced it with the same thing from my old compact computer just to see if that plug was bad, but it made no difference the same error message. and the bigger of the two harnesses I can't replace because they go to several different places , one and clips on the hard drive and there's like seven wires that go to different areas and I have not traced them down though. whatever the issue is is causing the computer to not recognize the hard drive.
