Nadeem has wrestling background and if powerlifting had belts he would be black belt in that. Power matters, aspecially in the white to blue belt range, the opponent was not athletic whatsoever.

kinda sucks for first match dude getting aired out like this for losing to someone who has never trained before. i hope he continues even if people are sending this vid to him - too many guys quit at white belt and this prob doesn't help. props to everyone who puts in the work to get out there and take on the challenge

I think It is because they focse to much on technique and their technique takes over rather then instictual fighting and grappling.while if you didnt have training you wouldnt have technique and would be instintual fighting, you cant think to much on technique during it slows you down.

Find a good bjj school. By good, I mean a gym that does takedowns, and starts sparring sessions from standing. Wrestling is a great base.

It was just water weight. I train with 12K and 16K and i usually drop 4-5 lbs when im finished. Depending on the temperature outside of course.

Bjj tournaments are hit or miss I’ve done tournaments where I only won 2 matches and got 1st and others where I’ve had like 6 really really tough matches and didn’t even place.

I remember when I was training bjj I would roll with people much bigger than me. My friend was around 190-200lbs and a powerlifter and I'm 140 and my skill set could almost make up for the weight difference but every single time I'd roll with him I'd end get some sort of injury that would take me a week to recover from lol.
