Жыл бұрынSo you want to experience some pain? Welcome to the one system challenge. Where you as the player has to survive by not expanding. See that border over there? Ye, no colony or construction ship passes that. All your resources will have to come from a tiny plot of space.

ASpec's videos are based around the popular Grand Strategy Game; Stellaris as well as other fun science fiction properties. Delve into a galaxy that is both dark and full of secrets. This channel has tons of guide, overviews, musing and other content for you to enjoy in the semi-classic game review format. So stick around, grab a drink. Some of this content was heavily inspired by the likes of TheSpiffingBrit, RimmyDownUnder and GrayPlays. Other content is similar to that what you would find on let's play channels like The Yogscast.

To be fair, this seems like a decent playstyle, relaxing, no pressure for expanding and the nearby systems resources when you can create your own.

Every game I start saying, "I'm going for a tall lean empire" then usually there's something that I just have to have .. a black hole, worm hole, enclave, amazing system .. before you know it, you've smeared yourself across the map 😁😁😆 Now there's not much sprawl reduction tech, every habitat adds 10, so there's no boundary to encourage greater selectivity.

What ASpec said in the beginning about Stallaris players wanting to punish themselves and others might be true. I once did the one system challenge, however I set the Prethoryn Crisis to X25. I spawned near the galactic core so the only consolation I have is that most of my rivals were devoured first.

Alloy mining locations produce mining districts with habitats. Since Mars had both Energy and Alloys, it has both possible Districts.

My god that was a god tier neighbor area. Also must have been soul crushing to have Cybrex that close yet so far away. I just never get that precursor start even if I look for the precursor type and restart constantly.

the war forge is a god tier relic. especially since I can't manage my alloy production for the life of my empire. like, I could be sitting at over 10k alloys per months, yet still needing more.

I would love to see a build and playthrough with the new cybernetics ascension. Did enjoy this video and loved just how many planets you stuffed into your home system. There was so much there. Highly impressive! :)

I think that fiefdom origin w\ prospect subject type might make a hell of a lot of sense, too. being able to have new resources pop up periodically would be really nice.

This challenge is a lot of fun with mods designed for tall builds like Gigastructures since you can manipulate the planets in your system more.

literally frame world origin (it's even more powerfull if you take the gigaengeneering perks, since you can integrate penrose, maginot world and other bonuses to your habitat

iirc gigastructural engeneering adds the "flat world" origin, I personally don't know if it's anything special besides the cool world tho (seeing as usually I just exterminatus the empire that spawned in said system)

Back when you could force-spawn the worm, I did almost nothing but voidborne, 1 system-challenges. Worm makes it really easy to dominate the galaxy and have it not even being close on the hardest difficultly.

I recently did a one Sector run where I only expanded until I reached the max distance so it fits in one sector. That way you have more flexibility when it comes for megastructures. combined with terraforming and habitats you can have abvsurd amounts of colonies

one of the best relics in those types of circumstances would be the surveyor during downtimes, the amount of ressources are quite handy since they would only spawn in your home system

One planet challenge, doomsday origin. Alt+F4 challenge where you start the game and type alt-F4 and beat the game in the microsecond it takes for the game to close. I’m not allowed to make challenges

Go full autocannon ships and all that short range shit. then place them at the hyperlane exits. even better if you can have a system with only one way in. then when you have ion cannons and orbital rings you can just shred anything that enters. also it blows my mind that you can still get to over 300 empire sprawl with one system

@@cosmictreason2242 a birch world is a habitat build around a supermassive balckhole. the kind you find at the centre of the galaxy for example. in the context of gigastructural engeneering, it's essentially an infinite world

Blockify doesn't go far enough the galaxy is still a disk and the asteroid belts are still circles and the ground combat circles aren't squares

You don't need to take the system, just scanning Cybrex Alpha will get you the relic.
