Good morning Holly from a minus 12 degree Ontario, Canada. Delighted to see you home for Spring and Summer. That 6 months went in quickly. Ireland looks beautiful this morning. It must be great to be back home with your own horses and your parents. I look forward to following you as we move into Spring. All the horses look wonderful. 🍀🍀🌠

I have a serious question, please don't take this as a negative, you are a BEAUTIFUL RIDER! why is it that riders nowadays do not RELEASE or GIVE to their horse over the jumps? It seems that a horse would be more willing if they were "rewarded" for going over by "releasing" the hands so that the horses did not get "bumped" in the mouth or essentially "punished" for going over the fences. You are not the only person who does this, however I thought that I would get the best answer from a kind and gentle rider such as yourself. ❤

Always nice to find a new video. 🥰 Do you think your horses recognize you after 6 months? I think so, but how they let you see they're happy to see you?🤔
@Sooonn13
@Sooonn13 5 ай бұрын
Of course they recognise people or others animals for a really long times/all their lives. But horses don't really care about humans. The happiest they are, the more indifferent they will be. As riders/horses people, we just have to accept that this is how they work. They owe us nothing, it's our desire to make such unatural and curious things with them ;)
@joannesmartens9442
@joannesmartens9442 5 ай бұрын
@@Sooonn13 yes, but mostly they love to do those things, like jumping for horses wha are breeded as jumpinghorses, like kahl and dali. But, i can see that many horses are neighing in the moment they see or hear their human friend, in the stable or in the meadow. Or they start stamping with their feet or other things. And of course animals own us nothing, but when you love them, mostly they give you love. Dogs show this very clear, and horses knows when you feel bad and sad, and they also sometimes give you a hug for example their head on your shoulder. So i don't know how hollys horses show all this. And many animals knows that you do everthing for them and they also are grateful. Look only to animals who were saved or rescued like foxes, squirrels, wolves, fawns.... I even saw eagles bringing a fish to thank for their rescue.🥰

loved this so much! i love seeing people let their horses just be horses and understand that that’s what’s best for them. it’s also so inspiring to see how far you’ve come with khal and dali because my setup with the horses is very similar and it can sometimes feel like it’s impossible to get anywhere without fancy trainers and facilities. so excited to see wiggy be backed this year and would also love to see some footage of your lessons. ❤
