I know this is too late. But I wouldn't look for wild carrot unless you are an expert, lots of poisonous lookalikes.

Hello, thank you for watching :) Yes its queen Anne's lace (Daucus carota). Just gotta be careful because in some states they call poison hemlock queen Anne's lace as well.

Id say it takes about 45 min... or a good indicator is once the wet mud bakes into a hard clay. These can be eaten raw just like your farmed carrot but you'll want to make sure they're washed well, keep in mind once the plant has gone to flower the root will become too fibrous to enjoy. They have more phytochemicals because they're wild and they are much stronger in odor so you can tell they do but they don't have any pigment like orange purple or red carrots do which makes them less healthy overall. Eat them for their medicinal benefits because they do have more natural phytochemicals which help our bodies a lot.
