Hot tent camping in Canada has got to be one of the best things to do in winter! We use the Cabela's insulated wide bottomed ice fishing tent with a modified window to accept the hot tent stove. Esme my dog and I have a great time over 2 days camping out in sub zero winter weather. We transport wood with the Can Am Defender XT Cab HD10 UTV ready for chopping for the hot tent stove!

We make a small commission from Amazon sales and this really helps us out with purchasing future gear for adventures!
Best wishes Michael & Esme 🐶

For cold weather camping you definitely have the right tent. Here in Arkansas USA we need to make sure the snakes are not out ,we have so many. I always like the idea of quick set up. The canam is a very versatile machine the way yours is set up. Makes the outdoors so enjoyable . Thank you Michael for another pleasant and enjoyable video with you and Esme.

Hello Michael and Esme, great to see you two camping again and using the pop up. Those winches are worth every penny of their cost. It's pretty cold here, it's 6:45 pm and -4 degrees. The mornings are around -18 degrees. I like the way you rearranged the back of your side by side. Esme looked happy to be out again. LOL, I was waiting for him to go in the water before you called him back. Looking forward to more camping videos.

Thanks John 👍 Yup the days are short now and we are starting to get the -20c weather. The box on the UTV seems to work well now. I'm kinda temped to box the whole thing in to keep the snow out 😄 I was afraid Esme would crack the ice and get all wet!! Not the best to have a wet dog in a hot tent 😂 Hope you are keeping well - Best wishes Michael!

Michael & Esme, another great video! What model Stihl chainsaw is that & what bar length? I’m looking to get one and trying to decide between something like the MS 194 T or the MS 251 C-BE. I do like the weight and portability of the 194, but I see you usually have the larger saw with you.
@TheEmporiumOutdoors
@TheEmporiumOutdoors 3 жыл бұрын
Hey Jason - My saw is an MS250 from about 10+ years ago with a 16" bar. My friend has the MS 192 T and its a nice saw BUT not an all round saw. It's really designed for arborist use. The MS250 is heavier but more capable. I think it's also more controllable and safer with the rear grip and front handle. Even with the 16" bar I've never felt I needed something larger. If you use a saw just for clearing trails, I'd consider the MS 194 T but if you use a saw for other tasks (bucking logs, dropping trees) I'd buy the MS 251 C-BE. Hope that helps!

@@goldenbear7811 I really like the 4 seater too - and would be the way to go if I had the family with me more. The tracks drop the gearing by about half and its more work for the engine - so it does consume more fuel but its not terrible. I'd also add the bed roof rack thing for the extra storage 👍

I hope Esme didn't eat the tripod? She is being very quiet. They can be pricey for a good Manfrotto. My dog use to eat my homework when I was in school before I would go to turn it in to the teacher Maybe Esme could pick a cheaper lunch the next time. Ha Ha. I hope you two stay safe and warm up there in Canada this winter.

Thanks Jeffery - Yea, I was sad to lose my old tripod it wasn't cheap but I had damaged it last year so it was due for replacement. I have another Manfrotto one now but its not a patch on my other one 😫
