SNOW TIRES work very well in snow, worth the investment

I’ve lived in Minnesota most of my life. This stuff never fails to amaze.

Geez so many accidents during the winter storm today! This is why we call Minnesota the Icebox of the Nation! Stay Safe Guys!

(Canada) During a winter snow event, I would often hop in my 4X4 pick-up and drive around sometimes for three and four hours and enjoy the weather and the terrible road conditions. FM radio playing soft easy listening music and often I would help some poor soul out of a snow bank. (If the poor soul didn't have proper snow tires, well, sorry they're better off stuck in the snow than back on the road and I'd just wave "hello" as I drove pass. Years have also passed and now the cold keeps me in the warmth of the house..........and the pick-up in the garage, clear of any snow ! Come to think of it, I might just take another ride during a January snow event (At night, it's peaceful and quiet) for old times sake. Enjoyed the video, thanks.

I live in Minnesota. It's amazing how many people are unprepared for snow storms here. The carelessness while driving is just as mystifying.

Live in Minnesota and many years ago in my youth I sold tires in MN. I can tell you without any hesitation that a very large number of people drive around on almost bald tires despite recommendations, I have no sympathy.

The problem with American companies during weather crisis: "hey, you're still coming into work, right?"....

Link chains are so damn easy to install and remove… please just invest in one good pair and keep them in your car in the winter months. Even just a good pair of snow tires help tremendously in lighter, intermittent snow. One investment to save you from waiting hours for a tow truck, being stranded, and potentially getting hurt/hurting someone else.

Been lucky in my spot in Washington, we would have had tons of snow here but it warmed up to high 30s and just rained. Luckily I'm ready, great snow tires and a big snow blower! Watching the FWD cars going nowhere in the video - first, obviously get snow tires. Either way, what I learned when I had a FWD in snow country is turn OFF traction control, hold the gas down a bit, and pump the brake to flip the spinning tires from left to right. That usually got me unstuck from most things. A lot of people don't realize traction control; on by default - will screw you over in snow.

For people saying that snow tires work, all season tires work just as good. If not then stay home!!.......

i lived in minnesota for 5 years. My first winter i slid through 2 stops signs because my "all season" tires from georgia were worthless. (no accident thx gdns) Within a couple weeks i had Snow Tires and I was able to comfortabl drive around in front 2WD like you're doing and pass other ppl stuck in the snow and ice. I cant understand how ppl hav lived there for years and never invested in proper tires for what is guaranteed to happen.

I was going up a hill on 42 and saw a car stuck trying to go up it, I took that as my cue to go faster

A lot of people moved in within the last 5years And still have a hard time Driving to the conditions.

I love the snow I miss the snow but when it's that bad I do not go out driving in it I just stay home it's not worth going out and get stuck and freezing your bunny rabbit off.

It annoys me so when people continue to spin their wheels at an intersection creating a layer of ice so slick that it’s virtually impossible for anyone else to navigate the incline. I’m not that person. I slow down approaching the area and wait for a time when I am able to enter the road without stopping. Sometimes you may have to gently coast without stopping in order to avoid getting stuck. Basically I avoid driving at all in weather like this if possible.

I'm surprised at how many ppl drive their sport cars during this! I have a challenger and it goes in my garage for the whole winter thankfully we own 2 trucks and the sports car, I would never own an suv or car to drive during snow nop it's crazy!

I live in northern Italy. With us it is mandatory to have snow tires or chains. I have both.

This is why I plan on having AWD and winter tires. Front wheel with winter tire is good but not enough sometimes. On black ice all cars will slip. Use common sense and slow down defensive driving is best.

A good way to not end out in the geography with your car is to drive slowly when the roads are not sufficiently snow plowed. Just saying.

It really sucks when you can’t afford a 4x4. I have a suv so I definitely do feel more confident on the road but people around you are constantly losing control so you’d have to be very worry
