People really thought they could just lay a brick on top, LOL. I bet those birds laughed when they saw those bricks.

I have 2 wild ones eating breakfast half a metre from me right now. I have told them not to bring any friends with them or the feeding will stop. It's been a month now and so far so good.

I have an umbrella Cockatoo. He 38 year's old. To me this might be a problem for some. However the food scraps they eat is less that goes into a landfill Or into the water. Give these birds a thumbs up. They are very smart. There has to be a divide between people and the birds. Hope some one can find one. Where, I live we have lots and lots of crows. They too are very smart. Ours eat carrion, which is disgusting at times. But we All need to eat. ❤

I find it really disconcerting watching a cocky chewing gum though. Fits with their delinquent personality, but it's still "wrong" looking. Hope it's not a gateway behaviour into smoking!

These blasted birds are in plague proportions in some areas of Australia. About twenty miles from me they moved into an area and ate their way through the almond groves. Of course the greenies wouldn’t allow these pests to be destroyed, thus resulting in the almond growers to have no income.

I think the Cockatoos will win: Australians are dumb enough to think that Cockatoos are clueless. They're not pets; they're wild and to survive they have to be very smart. Aussie birds are awesome; eagles etc., might be iconic in places like the USA, but your typical Aussie bird is so affable and they've adapted to urban life with silly humans. Magpies, Kookaburras, Cockatoos, Corellas, Australian Pelicans, Rainbow Lorikeets, Galahs and Noisy Miners are all full of personality.
@mehere8038
@mehere8038 9 ай бұрын
American eagle is a glorified seagull when compared to the Australian Wedge Tail Eagle. Surprised you haven't seen the memes comparing the 2 Cockies will win, cause in reality, Aussie humans enjoy larkins & galahs & will secretly encourage & back them for a win. Aussies don't underestimate our animals, only tourists do that. We know full well what they're capable of & love it. Ever heard an Aussie talking to a native animal? Kookaburra flew into my neighbour's window a while back while he was sitting nearby having a smoke, he responds "you right mate?". That's absolutely typical of Aussies & native animals, watch any video & you'll see it. Aussie don't treat them like "pets", they treat them much the same as they treat their mates or other animals. Why do you think the guy got into a punch up with a kangaroo? Kangaroo attacked his dog, so he did to it exactly the same as he would do to a human who did that. All native animals that choose to live alongside humans in Australia, are expected by the humans to act with the same intelligence & social understandings as humans have! (well except for the dumb ones like brush turkeys, bin chickens, they just get a head shake & shooing off, cause they're just too dumb to even attempt to reason with!)
