That was the largest amount of vehicles I have ever seen for one milling machine - organised chaos. Is Willi Betz a very large haulage contractor, as when I lived near the port of Dover on our South Coast we used to see a lot of his tractor units hauling 'curtain sided' trailers. If I remember correctly they were blue and yellow in those days.

I know a few guys who do road construction. The general consensus is that there is no one brand of scarifier that is better than all the rest, but I am reminded of one story of years ago when one company decided to try out a different brand of machine. There were a lot of radio calls to the boss to tell him that once again... "Hey Boss, it's not Wirtgen....".

Take a welding rod and a round target in neon orange attach it to the grinder. Make sure the orange dot can be seen in one of the truck mirrors. Make a circle of tape to blot out that dot when the truck is at the right distance. put a neon stick at the top of the dot, when it dissappers he is getting too close. Now you do not have to beat the horn

watchthe1369 All trucks have different cabins and seats, so you'll need a whole set of welding rods. What those guys really need is drivers who can read the f*cking manual and engage crawling gear. And that's it! That driver is definitely from Poland where he simply bought his driving license for 100 zloty.

Love the road mills -- they just eat everything in their path. Doesn't look like they're taking off too much, just enough to do a minor resurface. Perhaps a hot or cold in-place resurfacing would be a better option?

I found the synchrony that the machine has with the truck she buzzes the truck she drives the truck to accept it so very interresting here in Brazil they are all muddled. Das Baustellenmanagement damals war unter aller Sau. Warum? weil auch in der baufreien Zeit, als beide Fahrbahnen frei waren und noch saniert wurde (also auf den freien Abschnitten) ein Limit von 80 km/h galt (üblich sind din diesem Bereich 100 bzw. 120 km/h). In der Baustelle galten 60, obwohl die Verkehrsführung und die Fahrspurenbreite auch 80 oder sogar 100 km/h, wie es erlaubt und üblich sogar vorgesehen ist, erlaubt hätten. Aber offenbar waren die 60 wegen des Blitzers eingerichtet worden. Aber: Die Behörden scheinen zu lernen: Jetzt wurde die B 14 zwischen Kappelbergtunnel und Anschlußstelle Benzstraße saniert, dies unter Vollsperrung der Richtungsfahrbahn Stuttgart. Es wurde das Wochenende über durchgearbeitet, der Verkehr wrude über Fellbach und Kernen umgeleitet.

Yes, that asphalt will be quickly recycled. It's Germany, where nearly everything must be recycled.

+Benjamin Beytekin Multiplex is a form of automation to increase smoothness of the milled surface.There are sonic sensors that are placed at each corner of the milling machine and one in the center .It is possible to hang 7 sensors on each side ,but not seen often.But what happens is the three sensors on each side read the surface and takes a average so the machine reacts slower and creates a better surface.They look to be using the side gates instead.How this works is there are sensors in the front and back cylinder on the side gates .As the gate goes up and down the machine reacts,same idea but a smaller area is read and its not quit as effective smoothing out rougher roads.Hope this answers your question.If not ill try again.

How far are the trucks having to go to dump? (seeing as there are so many, I'm guessing its a bit of a distance. Really puts into perspective how small the jobs here in NZ are, I think Fulton Hogan is the only one with a milling machine even close to that size in the south island.

Yes, they have to drive around 50 - 70 kms to dump. I've got in the last century some pics from Fulton Hogan machinery at work. The time there was no internet just wrote letters and send some pics around the world.

Over low gear, normally unsyncronised and lover than first gear, is in Scanias manual´and Eaton Fuller too. Like with fuller can truck go something 1 km per hour.

pull up 2 trucks in front of the grinder as soon as one is done the next will be tgere aready then another empty truck pulls in front of the one thats being loaded.just my opinon.

Igualito a colombia en donde para levantar un kilómetro de asfalto se demoran 2 o 3 meses y dejan una superficie rayada de tal manera que los motociclistas se maten o dejan un pantanero o polvero y asi por unos meses mas esperando que baje será moises a pavimentarla y por alla al año la organizan, la inauguran y unos 3 meses luego la dañan nuevamente pero el ideal es robar dinero del pueblo

Millings out of the machine are hot! By laying them in the semi trailer going forward and backward, repeatedly moving, the millings get a chance to cool some...this keeps them from clumping into 1 huge mass, in the semitrailer, which is not be able to slide out, when truck driver goes to dump the load.
