acidbath32 Right but the South Park movie came out 7 years before the Simpsons movie . gmxgm I know, and that episode was making fun of the fact that it's hard to come up with an idea which the Simpsons haven't already done, that's why I was pointing out that this is one instance where South Park actually did something before the Simpsons.

+fox inuasha To be fair, the internet is where people openly admit a lot of guilty pleasures. Not that I think South Park is a guilty pleasure, for such a lowbrow show it's actually pretty intelligent and deep (though what message it's sending and how hard is debatable, and 'The Tale of Scrotie McBoogerballs' was an entire episode devoted to mocking academic analysis of the show)

Funny (relevant) story: An article I read from a news website detailed the events of "Kick a ginger day" where children had seen the South Park Ginger Kids episode. The children then proceeded to declare their next school day "Kick a Ginger" day, where they walked around encouraging other kids to bully any ginger haired children at the school. The parents then started blaming South Park, which I thought was hilarious considering they acted out the South Park movie completely unintentionally. The kids saw an adult show and ignored the adult messages, favouring and copying the profanity, leading the parents to get angry at the TV show creators rather than blame their children or their shoddy parenting.

1. The hidden meaning in this movie is that it's an homage to the 1993 Beavis and Butt-Head controversy where a little boy set his trailer on fire which killed his little sister on accident - his mother of course blamed the MTV show etc.. In the movie Kenny lights his fart on fire after seeing Terrance and Phillip do it which results in his death, and all the local parents blame Canada since that's where Terrance and Phillip are from. Mike Judge (creator of Beavis and Butt-Head) even voices Kenny at the end of the movie when he removes his hood. 1. the South Park movie came out years before The Simpsons movie.
@XX14NC3XX

@seanbeard7558
@seanbeard7558 8 жыл бұрын
Lance A I was mainly just saying that if there's anything really "hidden" about the movie that people tend to miss it's that the plot is based off that incident. A lot of kids watching South Park now don't even remember B&B so it kind of goes over mosts heads how much controversy there was with these adult cartoons in the 90s. This movie more or less targeted that subject.
