This is my version of Johnny Cash's cover "Hurt". Originally done by NIN. The world probably doesn't need another version of this song but I want to start trying things that are different for me. I am a producer first and I always rely on a bunch of production so I wanted to try something as raw as possible with just my voice and guitar. I have always loved this song and I am also a big fan of NIN and Johnny Cash. Nobody will ever do it better than either of them but here it is. 🖤🖤🖤 Please like and subscribe if you are feeling it.

The amount of emotion in your voice broke my walls just enough that I started thinking of crying. Takes a fair bit to do that. Bravo on being able to evoke emotion so strongly. I'd somehow missed this cover, but I see I missed out. Lol I might listen to it when I need to let myself feel sad

My mom met Johnny Cash back in the 80's. He and his wife came into the antique shop she worked at that was high end and famous because of the owner. She said that he and his wife were the nicest, down to earth people, and he bought an antique guitar from her. I always loved his version of this song, loving yours too!

Nine Inch Nails was my obsession when I was a teenager back in the nineties. I was in a drug rehab alternative program in high school. We had to one day write about a song, any song. About what it means and such. I chose this song. Seemed befitting. When Jonny cash covered it, it took me years to appreciate it. I always liked cash, I was just being a music snob. Your voice fits beautifully to this song. I still love Trent Reznor's the most but I love the covers and appreciate the talent. Bravo
