The real vancouver bit is my fucking favorite thing I've heard since like the NLSS intro with all the really good bickering came out. NL calling out the american and then recognizing he's on the wrong side of the bit, then doubling down and then unknowingly explaining exactly what he's doing as if he's not. it's gold. so good.

Just so you know, Jews buy those old people wafers all the time! We eat them at family gatherings (especially at my Bubbe's house, and I tend to have a package of them in my cupboard. It's a cultural thing. 🙂 Plus our culinary sensibilities haven't changed since WWII.

I've been trying to get used to playing exdash and it is a pain. The benefit that I have noticed is in his luck: With luck to begin with so far as I understand it boosts the evolved whip and the evolved cross. But beyond that he will find a LOT of items from destructibles on the map - so you'll rarely want for healing or other buffs - which is a huge help to make up for how slow he is. The final thing is that he is essentially locked in to having this game's version of seven items because the evolved bird while being very powerful keeps the two targeting circles and frees up an item spot. If you play him on the library then you can get seven items and seven trinkets since you can grab the mask off the map (you can find it each time you run that map) once you've already chosen six trinkets to have a full seven.

If you choose mad forest, you're able to hit a total of 10 passives (clover, spinach, pommarola, empty heart). Just dont get lost while searching for them...

In the library you can actually get 8 trinkets. You seem to know about the mask if you walk right, but if you walk left you can find an empty tome. You can even find a second tome if you keep going farther left.

@@hollypowell2256 to add onto this, if you pick up the second tome after you hit level 5 it says it gives you tome level 6 but then its not reflected on the upgrade page. no clue if it actually gives you extra stats or not, might be something worth testing, since it would mean its possible to get to level 7 tome on the map if it does give you the level.

I agree with your beet takes. Also the beyond burger uses beets as their source for the blood coloring in it's products, so while beets don't have hemoglobin they have something similar.

OP Meta loadout - Weapons - Peachone Ebony Wing King Bible Garlic Axe Whip ----- Accessories - Candalabrador Spellbinder Hollow heart Pummarola Spinach Attractorb ------- Peachone + Ebony wings merge to make Vandalier which opens a free weapon slot to get Santa Water. Huge knockback with AoE protection from Bible + Santa water + Vandalier + axe. HP Regen from whip + garlic. Vandalier has highest DPS in the game fully upgraded.

Vampire Survivors and Rogue Tower are the first 2 Roguelike games I ever bought and played, inspired by NL. I had fun with both, but I have to say, with both it only took days till I ran out of interesting stuff to unlock and discover, which is weird, since replayability is the one thing Roguelikes are supposedly all about.

Agreed. Big roguelike enjoyer and longtime NL fan here. Both of those games are very small and simple compared to most of the genre. Buy something beefy like Isaac, Hades, FTL, or Noita. That'll give you plenty of content to sink your teeth into. 🙂

I was kind of disappointed with Rogue tower, it is good vibes and scratches an itch for me but I was at the point of not losing unless I had terrible rng on card draw and lane gen after only around 5 games. For the price, both RT and Zombie survivor have a good amount of content, but while they are roguelikes, they are not very rogue like.

I think it’s important to keep in mind that vampire survivors has only existed for like a month and a half, and is still getting sizable updates every week. I wouldn’t be surprised if later down the line it gets a ton more depth.

I know it's overly hopeful but I hope NL never sees harry potter, I hope his kid just never wants to see it. Trash series by one of the most morally reprehensible creators. Evil lady straight up says she views any support of her series as support for her transphobic views, and a ton of money she gets goes to those ends too. Hugely responsible for tons of terfs.
